I went to pass another vehicle and depressed the accelerator to the floor and as I completed passing the accelerator stuck in the wide open throttle position. Since I was accelerating wide open throttle with no control I decided to turn the ignition off but in the process lost power steering and brakes. At this time the vehice I passed nearly rear ended me. I was finally able to pull off the road. I opened the hood and was able to free the cable mechanism back to idle position. Something in this cable mechanism is sticking/binding and the return spring isn't string enough to pop it back. Let me know if I can be of further assistance. Apparently the diesel version has been recalled but the V-10 has not. It appears the V-10 also suffers from this stuck accelerator problem.

While driving at approximately 40 mph accelerator pedal became stuck in open position, and vehicle started to gain speed, went to full throttle. Driver shifted into neutral which did not stop vehicle. Driver had to ride on brakes, possibly causing damage to tires and brakes. The throttle was reving at high speed after the vehicle was turned off because the cruise control would not disengage.
