I go through one of these track bars every 20K to 30 K miles. After the 3rd one, I was told about a company on the West Coast that produces a rebuild-able one and its a cheap rebuild. Finally, someone has done a one up on Dodge and their weak suspension system. someone on west coast makes a rebuildable unit for $400+.
You can tell when the track bar is shot because the truck will wander around whether the driving surfaces are wet, dry, icy, or snow bound. It just like to wander back and forth. Once it's replaced or rebuilt, problem goes away.
