Again, this is a fairly common problem with dodge trucks. First rusted through in only about 7 years.

made in usa !!!!!!!!! hmppf! Ive had this truck for 5yrs and put 40 thousand miles and mostly weekend driver nice truck plenty power the problems just piss me off when my doors started rusting the rust went quick . its an eyesore and makes my truck look like sh*t. i'Il even called local dodge dealer (doug marine) they have never heard of this ever being a problem.i had even thought that it was my fault but 9 out of every 10 2001 dodge 1500 doors rust. i think this should have been a recall item, but that wouldn't get you to buy a new one. That's why i say made in the usa i expect more!

Just wondering why Dodge can't manufacture an auto body that live as long as their drive trains. I love this truck and with 67,000 on it now, there is significant rust on both front doors and rust starting on the rear cab doors too. Too bad Dodge didn't do a recall for this. I will definately look at another brand of truck when shopping for a new one this year.

I know I'm not the only owner with this problem,I've seen many trucks and different years. The problem of rusting at the bottom of the doors. Dodge should have a recall on this problem.
