Ram 1500 4x4 Off Road Standard V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 93,500 miles

2001 DODGE 1500 4X4 WITH 93,500 EASY MILES, WHICH WILL NOT START AT ANY GIVEN TIME. IT MAY START ALRIGHT FOR DAYS, AND THEN NOT FOR DAYS; DOES NOT MATTER IF IT HAS BEEN SITTING OR DRIVEN. ENGINE CRANKS OVER OK, BUT REMINDS ONE OF BACK IN THE DAY WHEN WE USE TO HAVE VAPOR LOCKS. FUEL PROBLEM I FEEL, BUT WHO KNOWS. ITS BEEN TOWED TO THE GARAGE, WHERE IT STARTS EVERY DAY FOR DAYS.....CAN'T FIX IF IT ISN'T BROKEN. BEEN TOLD TO POUND ON THE FUEL TANK ( PUMP STUCK ? ) NICE WAY TO OPERATE A VEHICLE. ABOUT THE SAME TIME AS THIS, THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER SHUTS DOWN, EVERYTHING ON THE DASH ZEROS OUT, BUT THEN COMES BACK MINUTES LATER......MAY NOT BE RELATED. ANYONE WANT A DODGE PICKUP ?

Ram 1500 Sport 5.2L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 113,000 miles

About a week after i bought this truck of mine when i would go out to start it it would crank for over 5 seconds before the engine would barley start..... id run to the store shut if off and when i came out 5 min latter with the engine warm she started right up...... i mentioned the problem to my local dealer and did some searching on line found out it was mostly likely the fuel pump (which it was) got them to price me a replacement part came out to 425$ labor was 200$ and general inspection was 100$ so 725$ latter i could have been fixed needless to say i reamed out the dealer who sold me the truck a week ago and he agreed to fix it for free. she works just great now :)
