Ram 1500 5.7L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 63,000 miles

I've had the evap hose replaced but the problem persists. Now a service manager at a local Dodge dealer is telling me that the problem may be a cracked distributor cap. I have not yet tried to replace it. Will wait for feedback and will address soon.

(reported on)

Ram 1500 SLT 4.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 79,000 miles

When ever I go through a good size puddle or the engine compartment gets wet from cleaning the service engine light comes on and the vehicle runs horribly. Bucking and stalling eventually an hour or so later it won't start. It will continue to not start or just run like crap until it dries out. I brought it to a garage and they spent hours trying to diagnose the problem. Its a 4x4 truck for crips sake you should be able to go 4 wheeling or through deep puddles without this happening!
