The rear seat in the 2003 Dodge Ram quad cab does not have head restraints. I'm concerned that in an accident my children that sit back there can be injured. The back glass is right behind the seat and their heads world hit the glass causing brain damage, spinal cord injuries and possibly death. I've called Dodge and they were not helpful. The 2004 models have rear head restraints.

I own a 2003 Dodge Ram 4X2 quad cab. I have noticed the 2004 model Dodge Ram quad cabs have back seat head rest installed in them. I am police officer of many years, I am assigned to the traffic enforcement team. I have invesigated low speed collisions in the same model truck as mine. In most cases the rear seat occupants have received head and spinal injuries due to there not being any head rest in those seating positions. The impact area for injury was normally the back glass. I have a ten year old son, who is 4 foot 11 inches tall, that sits in the back seat when we travel. His head is well above the back seat. I feel Dodge should be responsible to have the rear head rest installed in the 2000 models to current. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
