ABS sensor comes on over 55mph. Exterior lighting keeps blowing bulbs and sometimes the tail lights completely shut off, sometimes brake lights inoperable. Windshield wipers work when they want to or only at the highest frequency. All occurs while vechicle is being driven in city street conditions other than on highway when I have to go above 55mph

The contact owns a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 14V796000 (power train); however, the part to do the repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. While driving in the rain, the back-up lights filled up with water and failed to illuminate. The contact replaced the exterior lighting; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was not repaired. When attempting to drive the vehicle in reverse and turning the steering wheel, the vehicle would stall. The contact would have to restart the vehicle in order to complete the desired movement. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer and was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 126,000. Parts distribution disconnect.

The contact owns a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. While driving approximately 50 mph, all of the warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel and the brake lamps failed. The failure recurred numerous times. The driver stated that there was an abnormal odor of fuel coming from the front of the vehicle and the vehicle began to violently shake. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 60,000.

Turn signals work sporadically. This is a daily issue. Signal left and the right signal comes on. Signal right and maybe the left turn signal comes on, or maybe not at all. Sometimes turn signals randomly switch back and forth between left and right on their own. Many times turn signals don't work at all. Once the wipers did not work. Hazard lights sometimes do not work. I have had the multi-function switch replaced twice under warranty and twice again since. Still have the issue. I believe this is a safety concern as the turn signals are telegraphing the wrong information to other drivers. Also possibly related the oil pressure gauge in my instrument panel will not work 3-4 times a year. Next time I start the truck it works fine. All this happens when the vehicle is in motion, and when stationary, forwards, backwards, straight, or turning.

I found out that my Dodge had only the rear passenger side tail light working, no turn signals, the passenger headlight only worked on low beam, and the drivers headlight only work on high beam. I replaced every bulb in the truck and still the same problem. I did some research and found that the integrated distribution center ( fuse box) has been a problem with corrosion inside the box. I looked everywhere for a new one, no luck. I then called Chrysler corporation and they searched the entire U.S. and not one dealer had a fuse box. I was told that Chrysler used this fuse box only in 2005 and they have discontinued the part. I was actually told by Chrysler to try ebay. With all the 2005 Dodge Ram and several other makes and models still on the road, how is it possible that they can just stop making a part vital to the vehicle. How has this not been investigated and a recall issued for this. If the owners of these vehicles can not find a used fuse box then the vehicle becomes a lawn ornament. This is a safety hazard that should be investigated and resolved. I am now paying my monthly truck payments on a vehicle I can no longer drive safely.

The approximate failure mileage was 118,000.

I lost my parking lights (tail lights) this morning before I went to work at 3;30 a.M. when I got off work I began my search for solutions how to repair this problem. My discovery was kind of disturbing. It turns out that there are a lot of other owners of the same vehicle that are going through this problem. It has something to do with the the fuse box inside, there is a faulty wire that causes this and the only solution is to replace the whole thing. Makes me kind of wonder what other problems are wrong inside the fuse box.I feel that Chrysler should recall this part and replace it. Do we have to wait for an accident to happen before something is done about it? I read on the forums that this part is on back order because of this problem this in itself should be a red flag. Not sure what to do about this. I will order this part if I must but with the large amount of others having the same problem maybe Dodge should pick up the bill. Thanks for reading I hope there is a solution.

A very dangerous problem with my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 pick-up is occurring on a daily basis when I use the turn signal - windshield wiper - high beam " multi-switch". when trying to signal a left turn by pushing down on the "multi-switch" lever(left turn signal flashes two or three times then right turn signal activates uncommanded) if I try to engage the right turn signal some times it won't signal / flash at all. My truck only has 46,000 miles on it, not a good testimate for Dodge. I read in a Dodge repair website / forum that a lot of the same problems are occurring with the Dodge Ram pick-ups and mini vans. (all years) is there a recall or will a recall be considered in the near future?

Intermittent windshield wiper function, also intermittent blinker and lighting function.

The turn signal/wiper/lights assembly appears to have failed. When attempting to make a right turn signal, nothing happens. When making a left turn signal, the right signal happens instead. Now, everything has failed. No brights, no turn signals, no wipers. Researching on the internet, especially on the Dodge truck forums, it seems to E quite a common problem. In fact that is where I got the link to this form to fill out.

When I turn on my left turn signal my right turn signal blinks. Some times my wipers won't come on or stop running. I am told that the multifunction switch needs to be replaced. This is definitely a safety issue.

My 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 slt truck has around 52,000 miles on it as of now. I am starting to experience turn signal problems. When I turn my turn signal on for the left the right comes on and when I turn my signal on for the right nothing comes on. This has happen to me twice so far. I believe this is a safety issue that needs to be fixed by the dealer.

2005 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab. The blinkers don't operate properly, they blink on both sides whenever they want and now the wiper blades work inconsistently. This has been going on since September, 2010, approximately 4 months. Need to replace the blinker handle on steering column.

2005 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup slt turn signals malfunction intermittently. Right signal will blink when left signal is activated and vice versa. Have had problem for approximately (1) month. Dealer indicates no recall or service bulletins issued. I ordered used replacement multifunction switch from E-bay. Still deciding if it is something I want to attempt on my own. Others on internet have had similar problems and found that replacing this part resolves the problem.

Lights go off while driving and the only way to fix it while driving is to flip it back to parking mode, this only works until the lights go off again than just flip it back to regular headlights. This can be dangerous while driving at night with all the deer that runs around my neck of the woods, not to mention the 50' to 100' drop offs to the left and right sides of the main road.

Turn signals!!!!!!, turn on left the right one flashes!! bright lights stick on, and sometimes my wipers work when turning brights off. The turn signal ordeal while trying to turn in downtown Colorado springs, was not a good deal.... I got many middle fingers.
