The contact owns a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact stated that the windshield wipers would not function. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who advised that water was leaking into the wiper motor causing it to freeze and become inoperable. The mechanic informed the contact there was a recall under NHTSA campaign id number: 09E009000 (visibility: Windshield wiper/washer) but the contact was advised by the manufacturer that her vehicle was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 32,000.
