The drivers seat foam is falling apart due contact with sharp edges in the support basket and frame welds. The seat motor has also stopped working. I contacted Dodge customer service (care #[xxx])and was referred to the dealership to have the vehicle inspected. I had the vehicle inspected and Dodge refused to make repairs. The vehicle only has 33,000 miles and the seat foam has to be replaced, along with the cloth fabric, that has a hole due to the rubbing of the fabric in the metal frame. I had to cover the seat with a towel to protect my pants, after I ripped three pair of pants on the sharp edges. I looked at a number of Dodge owner websites and many owners are complaining about the same problem. One owner even posted detailed photos of how he repaired the sharp parts and replaced the seat foam after Dodge refused to repair his truck. It is a clear defect and the truck should be recalled due to the risk of injury by the sharp parts. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

I have been noticing since I got my truck in March that the front driver side seat makes a popping noise when going around corners. It also feels like it is coming up off the ground or out of the track. I checked it and it is securely fastened to the ground. I took it into freemont Dodge yesterday to get some recall work done, and they informed me that the brackets and the pinions in the track of the seat are defective. They tried to get the parts but they are on backorder. How long do they have to fix this problem and how dangerous is it. The dealership says it is ok but my wife drives the truck and I want to make sure that she will be safe.
