The ac recirculation door is broken within the fan chamber causing restricted air floe to heat the interior or to cool bought used this year and dealer sold with issue even though it is a known issue' afraid to run heat or ac as it may overheat the fan motor causing a fire.

Truck shuts of without warning, during low idle situation, either coming to a stop, or upon entering a turn at low speed, or even at a stop light. Idle falls to 500rpms, engine shudders and then shuts off. Usually only happens after fuel tank is filled full with gasoline. No check engine codes are present, no malfunctions seemingly present. Condition is sporadic, and unpredictable, and can cause loss of control of vehicle, as power steering shuts off. I have taken the truck to a dealership, and have had diagnostics ran on fuel systems, but no apparent reasons exist that could be tested. Service dealership recommended replacement of fuel tank, due to check valve malfunction, requiring full fuel tank replacement, but no guarantee of repair of problem. This is a dangerous malfunction, as the issue is sporadic, and happens during operation, usually whenever a turn or a stop is involved. Loss of power without notice creates a condition where the driver has to figure out what's going on before reacting, and can cause overruns, or dangers to other vehicles and motorists.

The vehicle was examined by an independent mechanic and the contact was informed that there was a failure within the electrical system. The manufacturer was notified and he was informed his vehicle was not included in the recall associated with NHTSA campaign id number: 07E066000 (equipment: Electrical). The vehicle was not repaired. The contact also stated that the check engine light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer where the egr valve was replaced. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 40,000 and the current mileage was 42,000.

Has had the front struts replaced 3 times, motor was replaced, transmission has been replaced, rack and pinion has been replaced, ball joints have been replaced countless times, tie rods have been replaced, wheel bearings have been replaced approx a yr ago and are defective again. Currently waiting for them since there on nationwide back order the dealership claims. All of these have been under warranty. But I have spent countless $$$ on tires and having to rent a vehicle while this on is in the garage constantly.

Recently I was driving my 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 when suddenly while going over a bridge doing 60mph, the truck engine shuts down and the truck dash engine lights come on. Immediately the truck loses its power steering and brakes. It was all I could to hold it to the road and I was headed into oncoming traffic. I barely escaped with my life and now to make matters worse the dealership told me that the engine had seized up and was ruined (not to mention the 36,000 miles warranty had just expired). The cost of a new motor $7,000 not counting labor. I would also like to add that this was the second Dodge Ram pick-up that did this same thing. I am filing a law-suit immediately and need help anywhere I can get it. The dealership states it will not cover the repair costs. The truck had 49,000 miles on it...ruined!!!..

2006 Dodge Ram 1500 with several problems. Consumer states that the vehicles main rear engine seal blown. Multi hemi motor has no power. Brakes have been replaced twice, wheel bearings were replaced due to a recall, plus other recalls were fixed. The ABS had a minor vibration when the brakes were applied hard. The consumer had air condition, stereo and heater problems.

Multiple problems since day 1. unresolved vibration issues-related to tires and driveline and alignment. Outer tierod failure. Frt right brake assy failure - near accident, vehicle veered uncontrollably off road at 40mph-towed to dealer. Intermittent stalling and hesitating and low oil pressure during operation- truck stalled several occasions while driving - unresolved at this time. Multiple fluid leaks from failed vehicle seals and gasket-issue resolved. Vehicle has been to authorized Dodge dealers for 9 visits for a total of 45 days down time. In my opinion, this is an unsafe and unreliable vehicle. Not eligible for massachusettes strict lemon laws due to being a multitude of different problems.

The vehicle was again taken to the service dealer who was unable to duplicate the problem. The manufacturer was contacted, but did not provide any follow-up information.
