The contact owns a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact stated that the driver side hub assembly separated while driving at a low speed. The contact added that the vehicle emitted a grinding noise prior to the failure. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The manufacturer stated that NHTSA campaign number: 07V038000 (suspension) had expired. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 140,000.
