Transmission makes load snapping noise when shifting into any gear from park. Front brakes caliper sticking causing brakes and rotors to over heat creating sequel and massive amount of dust and vehicle is sluggish from the brakes sticking so acceleration is basically non existent. Load humming from front wheels which leads to a shimmy and eventually a shake.

I purchased this vehicle from a used car dealer in clanton, Alabama in April 2014. I was driving to my mom's, who lives in Mississippi when I came upon a bridge on the interstate while passing a 18 wheeler. When entering the bridge there was a small bump up and when the front wheels of the truck hit the bump the front of the truck started bouncing (death bounce or roll) uncontrollable. I had to cut off the 18 wheeler that I was passing and pulled to the side of the interstate and come to a complete stop for it to stop. It happened 4 more times before I got to my destination and it has happened on numerous occasions since and causing me to almost wreck each time. This is a very dangerous problem with this vehicle. You have no control over the steering while it is doing this it just bounces you all over the road. I have talked to a mechanic and he said it was the entire front end of all Dodge trucks that was causing this problem and had to be replaced. I wish to have an investigation on this matter, please. With only 82K miles on this truck the entire frt end should not be bad!! this problem, I was told by the mechanic was a defect from factory and should have been a recall on the entire frt suspension not just the tie rod, because the tie rod is not correcting the death bounce/roll problem with this trucks. I have a young son and a grand baby who has to ride in this vehicle and I do not feel safe driving this truck with my self in it. I will be looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you very much.

In 2008, I purchased the above described 2006 vehicle brand new through the Dodge dealer with 400 miles on the odometer. At 49,085 miles, 09/18/2012, I've had to replace the lf wheel hub bearings at my personal expense. This mechanical work was completed through the Dodge dealer. The Dodge dealer warranty the work for 1 year. 1.5 years later, I've encountered the exact same mechanical failure and the vehicle is in the Dodge dealer service shop again, as of today's date of 06/27/2014, now for the third (3rd) set of wheel hub bearings. Due to the frequency of this type of mechanical failure, I looked on the internet discovering a recall for 2006 Dodge Ram wheel hub bearing assembly. Dodge dealer states there is no open recall for this type of described recall and will not repair the vehicle under recall provisions. Confused, I phoned Chrysler at 1.800.247.9753. A Chrysler representative stated, according to my VIN, my 2006 vehicle build date is October of 2005 and the recall is for vehicles built November 2005 and up. Clearly there is a matter of build date semantics of October 2005 -vs- November 2005, but, the facts clearly show I have inferior, unsatifactory wheel-hub bearing parts installed on my 2006 vehicle. My biggest fear is the horrible scenario of complete mechanical failure happening without warning (possible wheel separation) while my family is in the vehicle and the possibility of a crash occurring. Simply put.....Dodge manufacturers and dealers, please do the morally right thing and place superior parts on your vehicles and honor your work, parts and recalls & quit using semantics and splitting hairs in recall language. Vibration and noise while moving-- ABS light on. I took the vehicle for repair and was told both front wheel hub and bearings were bad. I was then made aware that there was a recall on this years truck's front wheel hub and bearing units. I called Chrysler and was told that this VIN was not part of the recall even though it was manufactured one month from the reported recalled vehicles and manufactured at one of the plants in question in Missouri. Please have the dates checked on the recall before someone gets hurt.

There is a (tsb 02-001-07 rev. A) that calls out a shudder, braking, shimmer... blah blah blah... on level ground and certain speeds. My issue is not on level ground, my problem exist on decline of 7% when the brake is applied very slightly the front brakes or front suspension shudders, and shakes so violently that the entire truck and the steering wheel is out of control, if you grab to tight on the steering wheel you may over correct your steering and eventually could cause you to overturn your vehicle. There is no excuse for this, I have had my rotors changed, brakes changed, tires balanced, and rotated but the problem still exists. I am telling you that this is a very dangerous situation for anyone to be in. I would love to take the owner of the Dodge co. And his family for a ride. I will almost guarantee that something would get done about this issue. Rotors should last for more than 6 months, but the truck is violently out of control and too dangerous for me to allow my wife or other family members to drive this vehicle until it is fixed or I sell it. Once I sell it I will not purchase another Dodge product again, I am tired of wasting my time and money on this issue. I am tired of the dealerships giving me the run around and oh it's your rotor are quote "warped" un-quote is how it is documented on my paperwork..

Started hearing a low howling noise in my front end when going around curves in the road, it progressively got louder after a couple weeks to a grinding sound, took it to the dealer where I bought it performance Dodge, woodbury, NJ. They stated that both front wheel bearings were bad. I told the service manager that I heard there was a recall on my year model for that very reason, he stated that he never heard of it, I informed him of the reason for the recall, and his answer was that my truck was 6 years old and those things wear out. I said are you crazy the truck has only 38000 miles on it, his answer was it was a good thing I purchased a extened sevice contract. It cost me $107 deductable.I called Chrysler and was told there was no recall on my truck.this was my first Chrysler product and if this is how they stand behind there product, when they were aware that there was a problem at the factory it will be my last. My truck should have been part of that recall, just like many others that were not.I will be trading it in for a Ford next year. Now I know why the govt. Had to bail Chrysler out so many times.

I have a 2006 Dodge Ram that has a recall on the front wheels due to improper grease on the bearings. www-ODI.NHTSA.dot.gov/cars/problems/recalls/results.cfm when contacting Dodge about this problem, they said that they would not perform the recall because my truck has a rebuilt title on it. Because this is a manufacture issue, I feel that it is still their responsibility to perform this because they have a recall. I understand that the warranty is void with a rebuilt title, but a recall has no effect on the warranty. If the vehicle has 200,000 miles on it, they still have to fix the recall even though the vehicles is no longer under warranty. Now, my wheel is making a horrible noise, and when I jack it up, the wheel will rock back and forth.
