While driving city speeds ABS and parking brake warning light appear for 10 sec and then turn off. Did not affect driving. While driving at any speed over any size bump, front end makes significant clank, bang, wobble noise. Can't locate issue, nothing is loose. Replaced struts, problem persists. Seems to be coming from front passenger steering/suspension area. While driving at any speed when applying the brakes, significant shaking while braking. Several obd codes; improper oil weight, have used manufacture recommended oil for every oil change. Oil is changed every 6000 miles or 3months. Obd code; low voltage. Obd code; transmission overdrive clutch.

The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500. While driving 5 mph, the front driver side wheel hub assembly fractured. The failure caused the front wheel, brake rotor, and brake caliper to separate from the vehicle. The contact also stated that the brake lines fractured. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. Previously, the front passenger wheel hub assembly also fractured. The vehicle was repaired at that time. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 189,000.

Three sets of rotors and brakes in two years, 4WD auto light flashing and works intermittently(just started plus electrical noise in dash and heat stops blowing. Sounds like it's going to start on fire. I have to get to work so I have to drive it.(I have five kids a crabby wife and a granddaughter to feed), tie rod on drivers side went bad. So I had everything replaced. I've sunk allot of $$ into it and can't afford another penny. I'm concerned of all the complaints saying the computer goes bad causing the actuator to go bad as well. I hope it lasts long enough. Perhaps you should just start a go fund me page to Chrysler owners lol. It's a shame because it's a beautiful truck.

July 21, 2015 I had heard a loud high pitch noise originating from the rear of the vehicle. At higher speeds it stopped, but then I was hearing a sound of metal clanking together. I was able to make it to work. I took a look under the vehicle and nothing was visibly wrong. That evening I was driving home, and the vehicle lurched at approximately 40 mph; I pulled into the center lane of traffic, put the vehicle in park, then back to drive and proceeded to drive forward. Within a half of a mile as I was driving approximately 40 mph, the rear axle locked up and I skidded to a screeching halt. Luckily no one was behind me and I avoided an accident. I was unable to get the vehicle to move, so I blocked a lane of traffic until the tow truck showed up. The repair shop I had the vehicle repaired at said that an ear on the parking brake assembly had broken loose and that the assembly actually shattered. They said they had never seen anything like this in all the years they have been repairing cars. They had to get parts from a local Dodge dealership for the repair, and while they were talking to the parts manager at the dealership about my truck the manager stated "this is a common problem; we see it all the time". I believe that this sounds like a safety recall that has the potential to cause serious injury if it were to happen while traveling at a high speed on a freeway with more traffic around.

While my vehicle was parked I was inspecting a noise I had heard previously and noticed my rear brake line has been worn through the protective insulation to the point where the inner brake line is now exposed. It looks like the bracket that supports the line is the culprit due to friction rubbing against the line while traveling. If not seen in time I suspect this could have caused the brake to fail.

My ABS and brake light blinks on and off all the time and dings. When I roll my windows up sometimes it turns my radio on and off. I can be going down the road and my gas hand will drop to empty and also my speedometer will drop to zero even if I am going 60 mph. My cargo light will turn on by itself sometimes and if I turn it on is it very hard to get it turned off.
