The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500. While driving 20 mph, the driveshaft popped out and the two rear wheels seized. As a result, the driveshaft snapped off the axle. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the pinion nut was loose, which affected the differential and caused the driveshaft to snap. The failure was unavoidable and the manufacturer stated that there was no recall. The manufacturer stated that there was a possibility of receiving assistance with the repairs, but they did not elaborate. The dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 111,000.

The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500. The contact stated that while driving 45 mph, the contact heard a scraping noise and the ABS and brake lights illuminated then the rear brakes seized. And the rear brakes seized. The contact pulled the vehicle over and noticed that the driveshaft became detached and fluid was leaking from the rear differential. The vehicle was towed to a mechanic who stated that the rear differential and driveshaft assembly needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified. The failure mileage was 101,309.

He lost control of the vehicle and it spun into a wall. There were no injuries. He attempted to restart the vehicle and place it into drive, but the gear would not stick. The vehicle was towed, but has not been inspected by the dealer. The contact believes that the differentials caused the failure. He called the manufacturer, but they refused to make any repairs. The current and failure mileages were 70,000.
