The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500. After activating the cruise control and setting the desired speed, the vehicle accelerated even after the contact stopped depressing the accelerator pedal. The driver was unable to immediately deactivate the cruise control. The contact stated that the failure occurred on several different occasions. The vehicle was taken to an unknown dealer in tampa, fl. On multiple occasions; however, the failure could not be duplicated and no failure was found. The manufacturer was notified. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 500. The consumer stated sold vehicle after less than 1 year of ownership.
