Sometimes when you stop at a red light or stop sign and then try to go the truck dies especially after getting gas and sometimes happens when turning to the right. We have taken it to the Dodge dealership several times for this problem but they haven't fixed it. We have a lifetime warranty but they haven't fixed it. I own a 2007 Ram 1500 that spits fuel back out and is not safe to the person filling it. It also creates a hazard with fuel on the ground. Dodge claims it was resolved in 2016 when I first had the problem. They are now unwilling to resolve their own repair for the same problem. Fuel 'spit-back' through the filler neck has been a longstanding problem in several Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep models, caused by the inlet check valve (icv) mounted in the fuel tank. Despite some limited recalls and at least one extended lifetime warranty, this defect, which first surfaced in 2001, continues to plague a number of models. Tens of thousands of vehicles are outside of any campaign, forcing owners to pay for a repair that requires replacement of the entire tank assembly. Started my truck up. Then shifted into reverse with my foot on the brake, the truck suddenly went into a sudden acceleration. Like I had my foot on the gas pedal. They told me on the phone that this is the first time that they ever heard of such a thing happening. I advised them to take a look at google and type in Dodge Ram sudden acceleration. Upon my own research a number of Dodge mechanics have said the following. 1. floor mat was stuck under pedal 2. tps sensor 3. iac sensor 5. throttle body one or all needs to be replaced. In conclusion I would hope that Dodge looks and address this matter before it's to late.

I purchased my vehicle 7 days ago. I have discovered a dangerous issue that only presents itself immediately after refueling. At low speeds in, turning, or while maneuvering through traffic the truck will chug and then die. Leaving my vehicle without power steering and little braking ability. It happened twice after fueling Friday, and then again three times after fueling today. Two of the three times I was in heavy traffic and was almost in a collision by unsuspecting drivers behind me. The third time I was turning onto a sharp on ramp to merge into traffic. Thankfully it died at the bottom of the ramp and not at the top where I would have been in traffic. And thankfully my wife wasn't driving, because without power steering her and my two daughters would have likely straightened out the on ramp and found themselves at the bottom of a steep bank. If this would happen while crossing a busy intersection a collision would be highly likely with fatalities for sure. The problem lasts for about the fist ten to fifteen miles of driving, and dies at lower speeds 0-25 mph. I have read about NHTSA investigations into other Chrysler vehicles presenting the same issues, and where the warranties have been extended on the fuel tanks to resolve the issue. These warranties must be extended to the 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 as well in order to resolve this issue before someone is caught in traffic and killed.

Since the truck was new it would spew gas from the filler tube after the fuel pump shuts off. There is an extended warranty on the fuel tank inlet check valve. Even though my problem is exactly what is described, because my VIN number search doesnt show my truck as being invlolved in the problem, Dodge will not fix the check valve.
