Ram 1500 4WD 8-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 23,000 miles
The contact owns a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500. While driving approximately 55 mph the engine stalled without any prior warnings. After brake application the vehicle was restarted. However he noticed that the engine warning light was illuminated on the instrument control panel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the brake light switch was replaced. After the repair the failure resurfaced. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, and a technician replaced various switches and components because they melted. None of the repairs have remedied the failure because the failure still persisted. The dealer was notified, and she was referred to another dealer. However the dealer could not provide a remedy because they could not duplicate the failure. The failure mileage was 23,000. The current mileage was 32,000. Updated 12/07/09 the check engine light illuminated. The dealer replaced a faulty brake switch. Updated 12/09/09
