problem #2

Ram 1500 SLT 5.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 180,000 miles

The cheap connections they use on these pickups now are appalling. Don't drive the truck now more than 20,000 miles per year and the evaporator starts leaking within 18 months. Its a real PITA to pull the unit and perform all of the repair since it is ridiculously installed within the fire wall.

Ram 1500 Laramie 5.7L

AC Fan goes wonkers as soon as start up occurs. Sounds like a cat with a trachea tube stuck in a fan belt. Then, miraculously... It works! After you are pulling into your destination and your vehicle is 1,000 degrees, or -130 degrees. Dodge sucks. $50,000 truck with ALL the nice extras and the fix will cost $750.

Oh, and now the headlights do not work. A year of back and forth to the dealership. Now they say it's a TIPM and $1,100 to fix. Last month the running board fell completely off. What's next??

Read online there's a class action against Chrysler because the TIPM is a mega issue.
