Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn 4x4 5.7L V8

  • Automatic transmission
  • 118,000 miles

Our suspension has always been goofy since we bought the truck (new) in 2011. Every time we would hit a bump, the whole truck would pull or feel loose. However recently, when driving at freeway speeds (50+mph), our truck goes into this crazy shake! We have to slow way down to get it to stop. We have had the truck in to check components and sloppiness and, despite a couple bushings being slightly worn, there are no other visible issues. I read a lot of people complaining about similar things, but when several of my mechanic friends cannot diagnose it, I get very concerned.

Ram 1500 Sport 5.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 75,000 miles

Entire truck wobbles when driving over 60. New tires put on, did not help. New u-joints, did not help. Chrysler has no recalls, yet I continue to read all over the internet that this is a common issue with this year and model. Been to dealer numerous times and they cannot find the root cause, initially told me to get new tires, which I did, but that did not resolve the problem.

Ram 1500 SLT 5.7L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 125,000 miles

This vehicle has been repaired twice for the front end. While driving the vehicle at either 35, 45, 55, 65 or 75, it wobbles, vibrates something fierce and then it seems you reach a certain distance at that speed or a bump in the road and BAM it's fine for a while until it does it again. And it will get to the point that you smell axle gear oil. When I went to have it repaired the first time I was told the front wheel bearing were changed on the passenger side and if it were to make the same noise bring it back. Made the same wobble noise, brought it to another place, they replaced the wheel bearing (same one) and the whole front axle and said it was fixed. I took it home and low and behold, same problem.

Now I am trying to have the last place fix what he didn't fix and I am catching a nightmare trying to get in touch with that guy because everytime he says someone will be there to bring the vehicle by, no one is there.

This vehicle has yet to be fixed properly.
