My car has left me in the middle of the road twice in 2 weeks. I am scared and nervous can-??t understand what-??s going on, I am with my kids and no one to help. Every light comes on and off and it won-??t start, the first time my ex husband jumped it with his jumping cables and it came right back to life, but this second time, we jumped it for about 5 times and nothing. Towing truck came in the night the day after it happened and he jumped it and it started, drove my car really carefully back home and now I-??m scared to use my car because I-??m afraid it-??ll leave me in the middle of the highway or what-??s worse it can cause an accident and my kids inside. I couldn-??t even imagine how devastating that would be. Please help me to find a solution for this matter _ Sincerely, A mom with 3 kids driving to her job and kids sports every day and she needs a reliable car.

I hit the start button on my car and it began to flicker lights and start over and over again then it started an electrical fire in the front of the vehicle. We had to quickly disconnect the battery to get it to stop trying to start. I took it to the dealer and they said it was a defective starter. If I didn-??t have tools or if my car was in the garage I could have been asphyxiated or my house could have caught on fire.

The car went completely dead when I was stopped at a red light. There was no power and I couldn-??t put it into park. There was no indicator light nor warning that there was a problem with the battery. This put me into great risk of being hit by another car as traffic started to worsen and cars were trying to go around me. Police came and got me out of the car and because they could not get the car into gear they called and had it towed. I incurred the cost of the tow as well as the cost of the battery and the labor to install it. I tried to get reimbursed from the dealership but they said they couldn-??t help me abc suggested instead that I don-??t use the auto stop/start because it was draining the battery which caused it to not have enough power to restart at the red light. This was a very frightening experience as it was in another city other than my own and it was just on the other side of a bridge during traffic hour.

One day after trying to remote start the vehicle it didn-??t remote start. It was found the vehicle was not in park. This triggered the wrench warning light. Upon investigation by the dealer it was found the PRNDL was not responding. The PRNDL should put the car in park if the driver doesn-??t and this time that didn-??t happen. Seems like safety issue like the death that happened on a Chrysler vehicle because the car was not in park. My car had 32,000 miles and was only 3.5 years old. Seems this is a common problem when you search it on line.

Vehicle would not start on two occasions, both times the vehicle was jumped and started. On the third occasion the car would not start, the electrical panel flashed all the warning lights and the dashboard continually flashed on and off. It was towed to the Ford Dealership in Oxford, MS in December 2024. The dealership looked over the car, no other issues and advised that this was likely a recall and recommended a battery replacement which I did. I paid $202.65 for the repairs and in February I received a notice for 12 Volt battery recall but no instructions were provided to seek reimbursement nor was there any recall fix given (time was Q2 2025). The instrumental panel upon attempting to the start the vehicle would light up but the engine would not turn over, all warning lights would come on. Yes the vehicle is available for inspection.
