Takata recall I have contacted my local Ford dealership as well as Ford Motor Company and was informed there are no parts yet available to fix the airbag recall issue. And no known date for future replacement of parts. No accident has occurred as of today, but I want this issue fixed sooner rather than later. Ford website states vehicles are safe to drive until parts are available, however the recall notification from takata states "could rupture, creating a risk of personal injury or death" this recall was issued June 1, 2016 why was I never notified by Ford? I knew nothing of the recall until takata notified me they were filing chapter

Takata recall - Ford has known about this issue with the defective takata air bags since June 2016, I have reached out to my local dealership for months with the same result: 'Ford has no parts to fix the issue'. it is now Oct 2017, the potential of failure I can only believe is increasing every day, thankfully we have not yet had a failure as of yet but this is a very real issue that must be addressed.

Takata recall. We received a recall notice from Ford dated July 2016. Called the dealer where we bought the car, they said they did not have any new airbags available & they would notify us when to being the car in for replacement. It is now Oct 19, 2017 & we have not heard a word from Ford. Are they going to wait till we are injured to do something?

Takata recall - I received a recall notice July 2016. It is October 2017, and there are still no parts for this recall, and no one is able to determine when in the world they will be in if they ever will be in. An airbag is supposed to protect you, not cause potential injury or death. We do not allow anyone to sit in this seat as we do not know if the airbag is going to work properly or not. The driver or anyone else could still be in danger if the airbag goes off. That means for 15 months that we can not use our car like we are supposed to be able to. It is ridiculous that no one can sit in the front passenger seat. The driver is constantly chauffeuring everyone around. If I go somewhere with my husband, I have to sit in the back seat. I can't sell the car because no one is going to want to deal with the same situation, and I cannot comfortably sell it without disclosing the recall. Now today I receive a notice that the airbag company is filing bankruptcy. It says to go to www.airbagrecall.com all this does is verify that I have a recall. I already knew this. It states "recall incomplete. Remedy not yet available" under recall status. Then it states "if the manufacturer has failed or is unable to remedy this safety recall for your vehicle in a timely manner, please contact the NHTSA vehicle safety hotline at: 1-888-327-4236 or tty: 1-800-424-9153 or file an online complaint with NHTSA." Calling this number gets you absolutely nothing. The only thing to do is file a complaint. Fifteen months with no part to fix a recall is beyond a timely manner. I'm tired of calling every month to be told no parts are in, and being told you will get a letter in the mail when they are in and you can call and schedule the repair. I want a repair or a different vehicle. This is beyond ridiculous.
