"takata recall" I received a safety recall notice from Ford mc back in July of 2016. Its been almost a year and this incredibly dangerous defect has still not been resolved. Are they just waiting to see how many people die and amount of lawsuits verses the cost of just fixing the issue? as the american peoples safety organization, you should not be allowing this safety issue to still be going. Our lives do matter. Please handle this issue immediately.

Takata recall. I just contacted my local Ford dealer about the takata recall on my car. This recall notice has been in my possession for at least 4-5 months now and in talking to the dealer, the repair for this problem will not be available until at least "the first of next year". I question the timeliness of this repair. I understand that parts have to be made, but I have had the notice for several months and the time quote to get it repaired in at least 6 more months out. Until then, I and my wife are driving an "unsafe" vehicle. What gives"??" just wondering......

Takata recall: The front passenger airbag was recalled on June 1, 2016. Current official recall status is "recall incomplete. Remedy not yet available". the local Ford dealership had sent me a letter stating the parts were unavailable to replace the airbag and they would notify me when they became available. Today is March 27, 2017 and the parts are still unavailable. Its been 10 months, and it is still dangerous to drive my vehicle, especially for my passengers. To my knowledge I cannot sell the vehicle either, until the problem is fixed. This is very problematic and dangerous. I would appreciate any efforts to resolve this issue, and solve whatever problem is causing the delay.

Takata recall my vehicle was one of the millions identified as having an airbag that needs to be replaced. This vehicle has been a Florida vehicle since 2008 so it has definitely been exposed to the types of conditions that affect the airbag. Without receiving any word on when a fix will be available makes the vehicle useless for my family. I'm sure that providing me with the recall ensures that Ford has passed on the liability in the event that something should happen to a passenger in the front seat.

Just bought a 2007 Ford Edge this June 2016, got a recall in the mail two weeks later for passenger air bag might have metal or other fragment that can injure or die. I take my vehicle on long trips so I do have a passenger. All the seats are taken and the front seat is not used if I can fit other people in the back. I rented a car to go to South Dakota's because we had a hole family and I didn't want to risk someone's like because of faulty air bay. Ford said they don't have the parts but money is the problem Ford doesn't want to put it out. Can Ford turn off the passenger air bag so it doesn't go off. The recall came in June and that's plenty of time to get it taken care of.Ford disappointed me with the Edge. All I want to do is my family and I to be safe in a vehicle.if there are enough complaints maybe Ford will fix it.
