Takata recall: I was notified on March 1, 2017 of the airbag recall. It's been almost year and I've heard nothing since. Each time I call the dealer, they tell me 'we're working on it.' And that 'we'll call you when the parts are in.'. meanwhile, I'm running my kids around in this vehicle every day. I think it's absurd for something to take this long. I would like this problem addressed immediately. And if there is financial compensation available for the trouble, I would like to know how that application process works as well. The recall notice is NHTSA recall 17V-024

Takata recall, I received recall notice March 2017. I have contacted my dealership periodically for 10 months. I wrote to Ford 4 times. One response from Ford dated Oct 13, 2017 advised zone fixes. I live in Utah-zone C which stated "are not affected at this time. Humidity zones are priority. My relatives live in Minnesota. I was born in Minnesota. It seems from Ford's side that as long as I do not drive out of the Utah state border I am less apt to have a serious issue. Going one step farther if I leave it in my garage even less probability of disaster. I have explained this to Ford with no response. I have enough letter responses from takata to start a toilet tissue factory. This is Ford issue, they hired takata. I am tired of being pushed off to takata (who filed bankruptcy / restructure. All I want is my car fixed and the satisfaction that my wife and I driving in Minnesota or any other state between Utah and Minnesota will not be torn apart by shrapnel. My local Ford dealership in layton Utah said they have no info on when this fix will be available. Help please.

Takata recall. My car has been on the recall for over a year without resolution regarding the takata airbag recall. I check status regularly and I'm informed they do not have replacement part. This is an unacceptable period of time to not be able to have a passenger ride in our family vehicle. We have a road trip planned and need the airbag replaced immediately.

Takata inflators I have a saftey recall for my airbags. I am in the dallas area and I got in contact with all of the Ford dealerships in the dallas area and non of them have the replacement parts. After researching the issue I should not drive with a passenger because if the airbag were to inflate it could send metal fragments flying causing serious injury and death. This is obviously a major concern and due to the fact that I use my vehicle daily for carpool I need to get this taken care of as soon as possible. However the Ford dealerships have said they don't have the parts and they are not sure when they will get them, specifically North central Ford in richardson which is my dealership. This is cause for major concern for me that I cannot get this replaced.

Takata recall I have been informed that my vehicle is no longer safe to drive while some one is in the passenger seat. If deployed 'metal fragments-to be expelled causing serious injury or death.'I called Ford to see if they might have a temporary solution reguarding this hazardous recall, since the possible replacement will not become available until the spring of 2018, the representative could not provide me with an answer. According to the rep Ford is not responsible. This airbag inflator is a huge problem in my life and I would have liked if they had rentals for the duration of this issue. Not only is it a hazard for the owner and my family but it is unethical for Ford company not to consider what could happen to the people who own defective vehicles. I own this Ford and have a family of five. I don't have other means to travel and take kids to school, soccer, and softball. This vehicle is our only way to be where we have to be. Ford is wrong for putting us out and putting my familys lives jeopardy.
