Takata recall. The contact owns a 2010 Ford Edge. The contact stated that NHTSA campaign number: 18V046000 (air bags) exceeded a reasonable amount of time for repair. The contact received the recall notification in may of 2018. The dealer (kenny vice Ford, 120 S Washington St, ladoga, in 47954) advised the contact to bring the vehicle in for repair. The contact was provided a loaner vehicle for three months. The dealer stated that the vehicle was repaired. After the contact retrieved the vehicle, it began making abnormal noises. The vehicle was then taken to andy mohr Ford (2713 E main St, plainfield, in 46168) who stated that the recall repair had not been performed. The vehicle was still at andy mohr Ford awaiting the replacement air bags. The failure mileage was unknown. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

I I bought a 2008 Ford Edge several years ago. I totaled it but the air bags never deployed. I then bought a 2010 Ford Edge in 2016 and I bought it not knowing about the recalls. I he been in a reantal all summer and they Ford dealership in ladoga said the parts are in for the recall. I'm not it's not in the system anywhere and now I had to take it to another dealership because my hubs are messed up and my car died from parking it in the sun. I need to know what's going on. I have children and just want to be safe since ladoga sent me away saying my car was okay and didn't have any problems.bur now Ford wants 2,590 - 3,000 I'm with out a rental no one would provide me and the children one it's been several weeks now

"takata recall" bought the Ford Edge from a used car dealership in September 2016, we weren't notified or aware of the takata recall at all until March of this year 2018 when we saw it on the news. They stated til this day August 18 2018 they have not even manufacture the part to fix the takata recall on my car. I sit here with unsafe car and making car payments on something I can't used. I need help with this issue. I no longer want to continue waiting after 2 years of this mess. I want Ford buy the car back and get this resloved. I can't continue to wait till it time for them to fix it. Please help me with this!

Airbag recall - I received a letter from Ford May 2018 stating that the passenger airbag has been recalled. In June I scheduled maintenance to have the airbag replaced. After leaving my car for a day at the dealer I was informed they do not have the parts yet. Today, August 15th, 2018 I am still unable to get the airbag replaced as the Ford dealer does not have the parts. I was informed they may have them by September 2018. How serious is this failure" should I not allow anybody in my passenger seat until this is corrected? whose fault will it be if my car is struck and somebody dies due to airbag failure"

"takata recall" in June 2016 Ford (Edge) issued a recall for airbags, no remedy has been given and it now August 2018 and no remedy nor time has been given. There is also no buy back program in place for those who no longer want the defective vehicle. However they are offering a rental in its place for those who do not feel safe driving the defective vehicle. I no longer want the vehicle but I am pretty much suck making payments on a car that I cant drive.
