Received recall (airbag) notice 12/017 that airbag could cause death after going off. Called Ford dealer in January 2018 to make appointment to have fixed. They assured part would be there within next two months. Kept calling & getting reassured part would come in. Went to Ford dealer in may2018, complaining not able to drive car with someone in passenger seat due to recall airbag notice threatening potential death. Here it is May 2018, having gone six months with no one able to ride in passenger seat, only to be told to "wait two more months!!?! have always purchased Ford in past, but have never been more angry with a dealership!! plans are to drive dad to Illinois from Florida in May 2018! please advise where to get recall fixes as soon as possible! dad is 89yrs old this year and needs to ride in passenger seat! recall must be fixed this week! where can I get Ford Edge 2010 fixed asap" VIN [xxx] zip code 34223 (englewood, fl) please tell me where to go to get recall fixed before driving to Illinois from Florida (?) I don't want to report a death, so please tell me where to get recall (airbag) fixed!! six months of this waiting and still no action is worth never buying a Ford vehicle again. Ford has failed to deliver service, making it impossible to drive with passenger..upsetting and at best, bad service! information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Takata inflators: My complaint is with your Agency as much as Ford. Two years ago I learned of the inflator recall. I finally got written notification from Ford July 2016. After no further contact I called them with nothing further they could add. Called back July 2017 and was told no parts were being made, just don't use 1/4 the vehicle seating for safety. (not an option.) follow up October 2017, working with a new vendor...parts soon but no date. Got December 2017 letter parts delayed until early 2018. Its March. Called today, more bs. No parts made. Maybe 1st or 2nd quarter. Lady made a U-turn out of a parking lot a couple weeks ago and I missed her by inches. Worry every time we drive it often with grandkids in car. NHTSA has done nothing we have observed to fine or otherwise hold Ford accountable/motivate them. I suspect they pay lobbyist to pressure your Agency to ignore this problem. They had no problem getting their new cars out these last two model years. Tired of my families lives being at risk daily, but can not get out from under this car at this time and who would want to buy it. What happened to the ralph nader days when companies were fined into motivation to do the right thing instead of worrying about their profits. I'm tired of worrying about this proven deadly fault. Ford has verified we are part of the high risk group because of humidity. Get off your buts and get us some help please!

Takata recall. My 2010 Ford Edge is on the recall list for a replacement airbag and there is no replacement available at this time. The passenger frontal airbag inflator may explode in the event of a crash. If this is a known recall and people have died as a result of this, why is it taking so long to get the replacement" an accident can happen at anytime and I don't want to be afraid to ride in my own vehicle for the fear of the airbag. If a replacement cannot be made, what can be done" takata has filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Takata recall - it's been over a year since I was first notified of this risk and Ford has not taken any action or notified me. To put this in to perspective, the us military moved tens of thousands of troops and equipment half way around the world to iraq and defeated the worlds 5th largest army in less time than Ford has been working on this recall. Time is up. I need a new airbag system before I get in to an accident not afterwards.

Takata recall this recall has been underway for several years. To date Ford has not provided a repair for my airbag. I live in hot humid area of the country. Specifically houston, tx NHTSA states hot humid areas are most dangerous for these airbags to become unstable. I am wondering why there is not available fix for this dangerous product. I cannot afford to replace my vehicle. I must drive it to earn a living. It is causing tremendous stress and anxiety on a daily basis I fear having and accident and being horribly injured or killed by the airbag.
