Takata recall: I have been trying to get my airbags replaced since the beginning of this recall. I did receive a letter to have them changed immediately but is been way over a year since I have been calling the Ford places to have them replaced. They keep telling me they dont have them in stock and the place that sends them the airbags does not have them. My Ford is the only vehicle I have to travel around in and have no choice to use it everyday so whats going to happen if the airbags go off? am I going to be blamed for not getting them fixed or do I have to go through the pain of someone in my family, including me, getting mammed or die for having bad airbags. Lives are at stake. I need these changed. I love my Ford but they need to step up and get my car in their shop to fix these. I called several Ford places here in southern California and they keep telling me the same things. Thank you.

'takata recall' the idea of Ford finding a solution to this recall problem with air bag is to inform me not to have a passenger in the passenger seat is completely unacceptable. I talked to a Ford employee about their suggestion for our passenger. We have a 5 passenger vehicle for 5 of us and now we have to choose what person can no longer ride in the car or are we suppose to throw one person in the back with no seat belts. This does not work for us. Our twelve year old is traumatized first he was worried he would be left out, but then he is scared to get into the vehicle. This situation has left all of us upset and after talking to Ford employees they don't care their only comments are to make sure I understand I am not getting a rental car for this period of time. I want to hear a better answer from you. I can't even sell my car, but I do know after being a Ford family forever it is a time for a change.

Takata recall' we received the recall notice dated December 2017 notifying us that repair parts will not be available until the spring of 2018. It also stated we cannot ride in the front passenger seat. My wife and I are both disabled and cannot sit in the rear seat. We ask the local Ford dealership to disconnect the airbag in order that we can ride in the front passenger seat until parts are available. They said they could not authorize this without permission from you. I would appreciate your assistance with this matter. Thank you. Takata recall. This is a complaint that Ford is not fixing the issue in a timing manner. First notice of issue was July 2016 just got a notice Dec 2017 that they still do not have a remedy for the situation. This should be unacceptable, I cannot use the passenger seat in my car for fear of injury.

Takata recall - Ford is unwilling to provide reasonable interim solutions regarding takata airbags. I have been told to not place anyone in the passenger seat until parts are available hopefully in spring 2018. This is not acceptable as the vehicle's intended purpose is to Transport multiple passengers with use of the main front passenger seat. I have asked for a loaner vehicle, compensation to obtain a rental, or an interim repair until the parts are located. I was told that none of those options are available and that I should avoid using the seat. Additionally, the information provided in the recall notice is contradictory to the recall information on the Ford website. The website states that per technical information, the vehicle is safe to drive until repair. The recall letter sates otherwise in that the airbag may cause harm or death if activated by a passenger in the vehicle. This places an undue burden on the consumer to assume the increased inherent risk and liability if in a position to need full capability of vehicle, ie. 5 passengers to Transport in the 5 passenger enabled 2010 Ford Edge. I have spoken to the Ford recall department and customer relationship department to no avail. I have been told that my only remaining course of action is to write to the Ford executives at the generic customer service address. This will not suffice.

Takata recall - it is not safe to drive with my family in my car with a defective airbag. Therefore, the vehicle I purchased is not functional as advertised. Ford refuses to offer a loaner vehicle. And now, I have been informed that the delay in a replacement air bag will continue into the spring of 2018. This is not ok. Other manufacturers are offering loaner vehicles. Ford should as well. Not acceptable!!

Takata recall. I received a recall in the mail in June 2016 and took my car to southwest Ford to repair. They said that they did not have the parts and would contact me when they came in, never heard from them. I called back in early 2017 and they said takata was under bankruptcy and don't know if they will get any parts. My car is still not repaired and could be a danger to me or my kids. I received a letter from Ford July 2016.

Takata recall. Please advise the time limit for Ford to replace these airbags. Notified July 2016, have called numerous times, just advised they still do not have a solution except to not carry passengers in front seat. Wonder why Dodge is replacing them daily, but Ford still doesn't even have a solution.

Takata recall--I received a letter from Ford, dated July 2016 advising there was a recall on the airbag in my 2010 Edge. Haven't heard from Ford yet. I have called several times to my dealer and the say they haven't heard anything. Advised to call Ford customer service. I was advised they didn't know when I would get an air bag. There were several million vehicles with this same recall and takata hadn't started making them. On 10/25/2017 I received a notice where takata was going to file bankruptcy in Japan to affect only debtors in U.S. and Mexico. There was going to be a class action suit filed in U.S. federal court and I needed to register my complaint or I would be left out of everything. Ford needs to be made to fix these vehicles or buy them bac at a fair price when sold defective.
