Problem: when braking regularly at any significant speed, the ABS would kick in and you could feel the intermittent shaking that you would usually feel when slamming in the brakes and skidding to a stop.
Solution: this one’s a little tricky, self diagnostics appear to be a simple abs brake sensor (located at each tire) but upon taking it to the dealer, Ford's solution is to reprogram the PCM module. This could not be found on my own. Due to the module acting up it appeared as tho other issues like the sensors were bad when that actually weren’t. Unknown if reprogramming can be done in your own. Dealer reprogrammed for less than $200.

The brakes work but had a scare when I applied the brakes heavily getting off the highway on clear pavement when the ABS went on and the warning light came on to check ABS but soon went off. Now when I come to a stop at times the ABS will initiate as I slow down like making a turn into my drive way.
I've been told the Hydraulic Control Unit is bad. There needs to be a recall on these braking systems in addition to the Booster Assy.
