The brake pedal had gradually become more loose almost going to the floor. The vehicle had been returned to the independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the ABS module had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that the VIN was not under recall. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was 91,000.

Tire Pressure Sensor Fault (TPS) Hissing sound when applying brakes. Brake pedal is hard and very difficult to bring the vehicle to a complete stop. When parked or at a traffic light you constantly hear air being released and vehicle will boggle for a few seconds then stall on me. When I bring the vehicle to a stop I have to put it in park, and pump my brakes to stop the air from leaking to prevent it from stalling on me. Over all the vehicle is a huge safety concern and a hazard to have on the road.

Vehicles Break booster and Master cylinder has an issue and the breaks are stiff with a whistle blowing sound when pressed. And causing a low engine oil sign to pop up and stall out when stopped. This happened while pulling out of a parking lot. The problem was confirmed by a Pep Boys Auto Repair Shop in Federal Way, Washington State. No, insurance has not looked over it, and no I haven't taken it to be inspected by a Ford dealership/manufacturer

When I press on the brake sometimes it goes down smoothly and I hear a hissing noise and then the next time I brake it is stiff, hard as a rock and I can barely get the vehicle to stop. I was driving home on the freeway from work and there was an accident where traffic had to slow down. As I slowed down by placing my foot on the brakes the tires skid and the ABS light came on as well as the Brake Service light and Service Advance Trac came on. The brakes locked and I avoided an accident by 2 inches. This is hazardous and dangerous.

I took my vehicle to Ford for the brake booster that was issued by Ford. Nothing worked. My brakes would literally go soft and almost to the floor while stopping. It was extremely dangerous and scary. I saw a 2016 recall that replaced the ABS module but my car apparently wasn-??t tagged to it. Finally had to foot the $1500 bill to have the ABS module replaced which seemed to have fixed the issue. Thousands have complained of this same issue so I-??m not sure why a recent recall hadn-??t been issued by Ford.

My brakes are hard to press sometimes hard to stop. Jerky and then hard then soft. I read brake booster master cylinder or hcu All Ford's mistakes. Still no recall. I'm outside of the extended warranty because I just bought this 3 months ago and it's over 10 years old only 115000 miles on it. If I die I'm having my family sue ford. Codes p2 195 and p2 197 are now showing after a week and a half of this problem. Taking it to ford Tuesday. Calling customer service Monday. Shame on ford

About a week ago my brakes on my 2013 Ford Edge Limited became for hard to press. The pedal became stiff. I almost was unable to stop even though I was going extremely slow approaching an intersection that was very busy. I have looked up recalls on this issue with the same description and realize Ford had issued a recall on 2013 Ford Edges however only certain Vin numbers. However, surfing through multiple posts and forums I am finding 100's so far of people that are angry because Ford refused to own up to the fact the all these 2013 Ford Edges are having issues with the Brake Booster which is a major safety issue and should have no cut off period due to the importance of this defective part! I finally wad able to bring my car to the dealer due to the other mechanic's I brought it to are all getting an invalid read when they do the diagnostic test on the car. Now Ford Dealership Jarret Ford in Dade City said it will be $1389. 00 to fix my brake booster. This is highway robbery.

She took it to a local Ford dealer and they stated that it just needed to be updated (computer update I guess). The car worked after that until today. She hit a bump in the road and the brakes went to the floor again when she tried to stop. She has no warning lights that appear. The dealer states that there is no recall for this issue. This is a saftey issue for everyone on the roads.
