My 2013 Ford Edge Limited is experiencing the failed brake power booster symptoms. Hard to push pedal and sinking. VIN is not linked to 13N02 per Ford support. However the model year is within the range of years, build at the Oakville plant, has the issue, but not covered.

I currently have an few issues to report. When I press on the brakes, they make an air whistling sound and there-??s nothing noticeably wrong with them. I-??m also having problems with electrical on my screen and it won-??t always connect with my phone and it also delays on the screen when it-??s powering on or off. My tires have been leaking air since I purchased my vehicleand when I took it in, they said Ford mechanics said they sealed the valves but right when I got it back, it gave me a warning that I had low air pressure in my tires once again and my vehicle tires appeared like they were still low on air. I constantly have to fill them with air when I drive it. Every day they leak. But my biggest concern is the electrical and the brakes. I don-??t know the exact date on when the electrical started acting up. I-??m also curious if there-??s been a recall on anything to do with the defrost on the windows because my windows do not defrost very well in our cold climate. I-??m also wondering about the headlights. They seem like they-??re not bright enough we-??re just strange because they-??re clear and there-??s nothing obstructing them that-??s noticeable. For safety I believe they should be a lot brighter than they are. I have not been in any car accidents and no one hit my vehicle.

I constantly heara hissing sound when breaking. Sometimes my break pedal goes all the way down inorder to stop. My Abs light comes on. I have had it repaired once. Its happened again. I'm being told it's the break booster and needs repair once again. This is a severe safety issue. It's a constant issue with hydraulic or breaks, including break booster.

My vehicle's brakes went completely soft, brake pedal to the floor. This is because of the "customer relationship program", aka the recall that apparently is not a recall. The issue is the "Brake Booster", where there is a small tear in the diaphragm responsible for braking. There was no warning and the problem has been reproduced multiple times according to online forums.

The brake booster has failed. When I depress the brake pedal it pushes almost to the floor before any braking occurs. The car is still able to brake, but this slight delay can pose a risk to safety if the car needs to be slowed quickly. The problem occurs constantly during driving. I have brought the care to the dealership to see if it was covered under the 13N02 customer satisfaction program, but they said my VIN indicated it was not. This problem is described exactly the same in the 13N02 recall and I believe my vehicle should be covered. There have been no warning lamps or signals for this issue.

The contact owns a 2013 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while depressing the brake pedal, the brake pedal was spongy and depressed nearer to the floorboard. There were no warning lights illuminated. The brake booster, front brake pads, brake master cylinder, and approximately six other parts had been replaced. The brake pedal had become loose, causing the brake pedal to depress lower than before. The vehicle had been taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the rear brake shoes had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle had been repaired. The brake pedal had gradually become more loose almost going to the floor. The vehicle had been returned to the independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the ABS module had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that the VIN was not under recall. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was 91,000.

Tire Pressure Sensor Fault (TPS) Hissing sound when applying brakes. Brake pedal is hard and very difficult to bring the vehicle to a complete stop. When parked or at a traffic light you constantly hear air being released and vehicle will boggle for a few seconds then stall on me. When I bring the vehicle to a stop I have to put it in park, and pump my brakes to stop the air from leaking to prevent it from stalling on me. Over all the vehicle is a huge safety concern and a hazard to have on the road.

I noticed when pressing on the brake pedal it was going to the floor vehicle was not slowing or stopping as it should. I heard a squealing and whistle sound then the check engine light came on. I called the dealership, and they said confirmed the brake booster was internally leaking vacuum causing the check engine light to come on. The brake light is on once again and again the dealership contacted for an appointment. I took the liberty contacting Ford for any recalls and was directed to contact NHTSA and report.

I have a 2013 ford edge. When I press on the brake sometimes it goes down smoothly and I hear a hissing noise and then the next time I brake it is stiff, hard as a rock and I can barely get the vehicle to stop. This is dangerous! A major safety issue but for some unknown reason my 2013 is not showing a recall. I heard that the brake boosters could be the problem. Also my check engine light came on when the stiff brake started happening. I just bout the suv 2 weeks ago. Ford will not help me as no recall is issued.

I was driving home on the freeway from work and there was an accident where traffic had to slow down. As I slowed down by placing my foot on the brakes the tires skid and the ABS light came on as well as the Brake Service light and Service Advance Trac came on. The brakes locked and I avoided an accident by 2 inches. This is hazardous and dangerous.
