Traction control. Stabiltrak, and ABS system all randomly failed at 69,000 miles. They were intermittently going in and out for two days now come on every time. The car does not even have 100,000 miles. I have replaced the transmission and have countless electrical issues. The blend door actuators are all faulty. Known common issue that will cost a thousand to fix. Master brake cylinder has been replaced and still having faulty petal issues that is no longer covered. The panoramic roof does not work and it is a known issue almost every edge has. And now sever safety issues with the ABS system and traction control. There is no excuse for this poor manufacturing and no recalls to fix them. There were absolutely zero warning signs or check engine lights that came on prior to any of these systems happening. The transmission never through a code at all until after it locked up. The ABS system went out while driving down the road on a rainy day causing me to loose control and luckily I was able to get it into the ditch instead of into oncoming traffic. It put my life and my friends lives in danger. Ford should be sued for this and made to recall every single edge or other vehicle with these components. I have no fixed the issue yet because I wanted to submit this issue to the NHTSA and have it available to be inspected if they wanted. This vehicle is extremely unsafe and has had issues non stop. The transmission went out also while driving on the highway and just locked up causing me to almost get hit from the rear. And the replacement transmission is already having issues again with less than 15,000 miles on it. This

The contact's daughter owns a 2013 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while his daughter was at a complete stop, the brake pedal was depressed but felt spongy and failed to respond. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact-??s daughter continued to depress the brake pedal until the brakes responded. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the whistling sound inside the cab was caused by the vacuum booster and the master cylinder failure. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer who advised that the vacuum booster would be replaced under an unknown recall; however, the master cylinder replacement would be an out-of-pocket expense. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 73,000.

In June 2021 my brake pedal was going to the floor. There was no brake fluid leaking. I took it for diagnostics and was informed (1) the master cylinder needed to be replaced. While it was in the shop they said they had to replace the (2) master cylinder again because the one they received was defective. (3)Then in December after driving approx 2500 mi the pedal went to the floor again. I drove the vehicle (scared out of my mind) 15 miles back to Goodyear. I parked in their open lot instead of pulling up to the front because I was afraid I'd run into the parking curb. I got a call from Goodyear that they were unable to duplicate the problem! It was constant when I was driving to their shop and when I parked it. If they had come out and driven it when I got there they would have definitely confirmed there was NO brake pedal! I worry every time I drive my car and I'm afraid to carry any passengers.

I was told once that body control module wàs bad then I call to get it replaced and they said it wasn't bad. Windshield wipers go when they want then sometimes they won't work at all. Windows will roll down when rolling up or roll up when rolling down. Radio has been delayed. Sometimes definitely not eco boost. Pushes slower than my grandma's 1999 Buick. Brake boost was replaced in July ànd now again I have no breaks whatsoever I have to drive with the emergency brake

The Brakes on my 2013 Ford Edge failed resulting in an accident with my 17 year old son on 1-11-22. The pedal was pressed all the way down, and only the emergency break stopped the vehicle. When pressing it brake, it was as if there were no brakes whatsoever. We had a total brake job done on 8-6-2021. on 9-19-21 the car would hardly come to a complete stop, same issue that my son encountered. The pedal would go all the way down and the pedal would hiss during this time. We had the brake booster replaced. So in a span of 1 month and an half we spent $1,600.25 only for the issue to occur again to put my sons life and others at Risk. I have been doing some research and this is a common issue with this particular vehicle. Ford did do an partial recall of this apparently, but our vehicle was not part of this. There are many instances of the Ford Edge having this exact same problem that Ford does not seem to want to address. This car is unsafe. We will be selling this back to the dealership as we are not comfortable to drive it. There are many parts to the brake system that can cause this from the Power Booster, the ABS injector and the Master Brake Cylinder. There are many instances where this is a very intermittent problem. The issue occurs, and then the mechanics can't find anything wrong. there are hundreds of testimonies online for this vehicle and the issues that it has.

When driving at normal speed (30MPH) break pedal is very soft and goes to floor before stopping the car. Same problem occurred in August 2021. Hampton Ford dealer replaced the booster system which solved the problem temporarily. Problem returned on 12/27/21. Very dangerous. The ABS light has not come on. Dealer has no appointments until 1/18/22.

While travelling at around 50 MPH, I had to quickly apply the brake pedal due to oncoming stopped traffic. The brake pedal went to the floor and vehicle would not slow down. I continuously pumped the pedal and had to abruptly switch lanes to avoid rear-end collision with the car in front of me. Then after abruptly changing lanes a truck almost hit me. I pumped the brakes until the vehicle slowly stopped. This is not the first time it has happened, and I doubt it will be the last. This problem seems to occur when I have to suddenly come to a stop.

The contact owns a 2013 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the brake pedal would intermittently depress to the floorboard without warning. The contact had initially taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The failure continued and the contact received a notice from emissions that the brake booster had been placed under an extended warranty. The contact's husband then called the dealer who informed him that unless the failure occurred while in their possession, they could not offer any assistance. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.

My 2013 Ford Edge had 44,882 miles on it. With no warning or lights, car was difficult to stop. Hissing noise when brakes applied. Very scary! Took it to Ford dealership. They charged me $167 to diagnose the problem as power brake booster, and said it would take 3-4 weeks to get the part. Ford knows there-??s a problem (N102) and supposedly it-??s covered for 10 years or 150,000 miles, but I was told that mine would NOT be covered. I took it to an independent repaIr shop. They were able to get the part in three days. It cost me $993.28 to have it repaired. VERY DISAPPOINTED with Ford!! This is a SAFETY ISSUE!, Thank God I wasn-??t on a highway when it happened! Is Ford waiting until someone gets killed?

Well driving under normal operating conditions at the posted speed limit of 45 mph I was cut off and apply the brakes rapidly to avoid a collision, at that moment the brake pedal lost its firmness and depressed slowly to the floor with limited breaking ability. After the incident I pulled to the shoulder and noticed that the brake pedal continue to sink to the floor with little to no resistance even after placing in park, shutting down and restarting the vehicle. This condition still persists after break bleeding and checking the entire brake system, my safety was in jeopardy due to the fact that I had limited braking ability and the pedal continue to sink to the floor with no resistance. This has not been evaluated by a dealership or independent mechanic as of this writing and the problem has not been reproduced also there-??s been no reports to my insurance, police, the manufacture or any other parties and there were no warning lights, diagnostic trouble codes, or any other Indication as to there being a faulty system or failed ABS pump, master cylinder or hydroboost

The contact owns a 2013 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while depressing the brake pedal to stop the vehicle, the pedal extended to the floor and the braking distance was extended. Additionally, the brake pedal felt spongy when pressed. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who was unable to duplicate the failure. The mechanic indicated that a hissing sound was present while depressing the brake pedal. The vehicle was not repaired. The local dealer and manufacturer were notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 114,000.

When applying the brakes on my 2013 Ford Edge the brake pedal sinks to the floor (soft fading pedal). This always occurred following a quick hard stop, such as is required to avoid an animal or other unforeseen road hazard. Deliberately pushing the brake pedal with another quick, hard application (i.e. slamming the brakes) would then alleviate the soft pedal issue temporarily, only to have the entire scenario repeat itself. There are no warning lamps, messages or indications that there is a problem. The service department at Sunrise Ford in Fort Pierce, FL confirmed the problem and replaced the brake booster in accordance with Customer Satisfaction Program 13N02 (occurred on 3/5/21 at 81, 896 miles). Replacing the brake booster did not fix the problem. In fact, the soft fading brake pedal sinking to the floor is now continuous, and happens upon every brake application. This most definitely is a safety issue that endangers the vehicle occupants and all others on the road in the vicinity to include pedestrians. It puts everyone at risk because a soft fading brake pedal that goes to the floor delays the braking action of the vehicle, hence a longer stopping distance and possible collision. I have an appointment with the Sunrise Ford Dealership and I have stopped driving this vehicle until the manufacturer/dealership can provide a solution. A manufacturer safety recall is absolutely necessary.

When my check engine light came on I took my 2013 Ford Edge to my regular mechanic. I was having problems with the brakes causing the car to stall when stopped with my foot on the brake. It was also difficult to stop since the brake pedal would not engage & when it did it went to the floor. It was the brake booster which I paid $966 to have repaired. I later learned that this was under a Ford recall 13N02 for 2010-2013 Edge however my vehicle was not covered because apparently it wasn't built in the Oakville plant!! I feel this should be covered regardless of where my vehicle was built since the issue involves the exact problem described in Ford's "customer satisfaction program 13N02"
