Problem: When gunning the car to pass a vehicle and ramping up the RPMs the transmission began to shake and shimmer to the point I had to pull to the side of the road, shut down the car and then restart. This problem would happen intermittently. As long as I didn’t punch it it wouldn’t do it, but loss of full power was noticeable most of the time.
Solution: code reader found fault at Bank One Sensor One O2 sensor. This sensor is located on the backside of the engine. Fairly easy to replace. Remove the air intake on the top of your engine and the sensor can be reached with an extension on the backside of the engine.
After replacement the transmission was shifting as it should.
