When driving my vehicle, the rpms sky rocket but won't change. It's not shifting gears as an automatic is supposed to. Also, the engine has been making a weird noise on and off and when we took it in, they turned it on and pressed the gas and said it was fine. Never had it on record or anything. The fuel pump went out about 23K and now the car is having the same issue at 50K with the fuel pump or the same symptoms as it did before having the car lunge forward or vibrate.

Since I purchased the vehicle it has been making a jerking effect after it passes 1st gear to 2nd. The jerking effect seems to be coming from the motor. I took it to the dealer and the dealer said there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. To this day it still has the jerking effect.

My car has lost all power while driving multiple times. The dash says "full power accessory active". I have to put the car in park and restart it. The last time I was driving 60 mph on a busy highway so this could have been a very dangerous situation especially if I was somewhere that didn't have a an area for me to pull over or had I been stuck in the middle lane! this needs to be recalled immediately!

When merging onto the interstate and you accelerate and go from approximately 40 mph to 75 pmh there is always a smoking -burning smell coming out of the A/C exhaust vents inside the passenger compartment of the car. I had an Explorer before and it did the same thing. I thought my engine was going to blow up even though it only had approximately 30K miles on it so I traded it. Now this Edge is doing the same thing... is this an ongoing problem that is trying to be repaired soon. I asked if the 2018's had this problem the the Ford dealership said yes. Same thing happens when I pass someone on a regular highway any time you accelerate your speed from a lower speed to a higher one. Thanks

We had had a problem for over a year.the ac makes loud noises and cuts out and stops working it will speed up slow down with no touching.the bluetooth doesn't work properly and the phone doesn't sink or drops calls.the check engine light comes on!!!!we first took to our local dealership kelly Ford im melbourne they couldn't get it to fail.gave us the car back and were rude, my wife called customer care and made a complaint and nothing was done.we then sent videos of the issues. To the dealership we bought from which is 2 hours drive South of else delrare Ford.we drove there and showed the sales manager and service manager the car in the failed condition as we didnt shut car off and pulled into the service station after again sending text of videos on our drive down of the failing.they kept the car for over 5 days and again said they couldnt get it to fail when they restarted later.we were furious.we have again had to continue to drive this car paying almost $400 a month and no one will fix...or give us another car.its a lease.we phoned customer care again they gave us a case number and said contact palm bay Ford and quote the case number if they didnt not fix the car or give a replacement until it was fixed we could end the lease early. The car has stalled while driving.the ac and fan vibrate so load and go from super fast to slow and then shuts off all while driving.we are scared to drive!!!!

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Edge. While driving 48 mph, the contact noticed that the vehicle began to vibrate and a loud thumping sound was heard within the vehicle. The vehicle was driven to the dealer (sheehy Ford Lincoln of richmond, 10601 midlothian turnpike, richmond, va 23235), but the cause of the failure could not be determined. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and suggested a few different options to try on the vehicle to see if any would remedy the failure. The dealer stated that none of the options were helpful in repairing the vehicle. The dealer informed the contact that they did not know how to repair the failure. The contact stated that the windsheild wipers continued to get stuck in the middle of the windshield and were stuck together. The failure mileage was 62,795.

Edge

  • 4,000 miles
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Edge. While driving approximately 35 mph, the vehicle experienced a loss of throttle response when depressing the accelerator pedal, and failed to accelerate properly. After shutting the engine off and back on, the vehicle operated normally. The vehicle was taken to the dealer (friendly Ford in las vegas, nv) and a module was replaced. After the repair was performed, the vehicle idled very highly until the engine warmed up. Also, the brakes would not function properly. The driver was unable to gradually stop the vehicle. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, but no failures were found. The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 4,000.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Edge. While driving, the contact heard a knocking noise coming from the engine and the vehicle started to drive abnormally. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the oil pressure sensor leaked oil and the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact called an unknown Ford dealer where it was determined that the engine could not be repaired and the contact was advised to call NHTSA. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that the warranty had expired and offered no further assistance. The VIN was unknown. The approximate failure mileage was 45,000.

Exhaust in cabin way beyond permissible limits from day 1. I suspected the firewall was allowing exhaust into interior, but then I started suspecting the rear was allowing exhaust in due to an air eddy recirculating behind the vehicle allowing exhaust into the cabin via lower rear door seal not sealing tight enough via the automated door closure not sufficiently forming a seal.

Electronic throttle body failure. Vehicle lost all engine power and entered limp mode at 70 mph on highway. Warning lights came on & no notice given. Had to immediately pull over to side of highway. Nearly lost control of vehicle and almost crashed. Dealer stated the electronic throttle body failed and deemed car unfit/unsafe for travel on the road. Left vehicle at Ford dealer to replace throttle body.

Multiple times the car suddenly lost all power. Engine shuts off, power steering gone and all the warning lights on the dash light up. This has happened on expressways, city streets and country roads, each time impeding the flow of traffic and people don't respond well to me when this happens. I have come very close to being hit by other cars. Each time I have pushed the starter button to shut it off even though it is not running and I wait a few minutes. I then restart the car and it seems to function again, for a while. The dealership wants to play games about this issue, " not doing it for our technician". I see loads of complaints just like mine with nothing being done. Come on, it's recall time, ,,before I, my wife, family or someone suffers serious injury or death because of this known problem with the ebt assembly in the Ford Edge.

My 2015 Ford Edge suddenly lost power without any warning as I was driving at a slow speed on my residential street. Fortunately I was not in a high-speed traffic area, as this situation is obviously a serious one. The next day I took my car to the dealer and they were aware of this issue happening in Ford vehicles. It was a defective throttle body and they were able to replace it the same day. I am hoping this new one will not pose the same problem. I am also seeing online that this same issue has been occurring in the 2015 Ford Edge, as well as other Ford vehicles in prior model years. I cannot understand why there is not a recall on these vehicles, and if this issue has been out there for several years already, why is there not a permanent fix" the vehicle loses power and either you "limp" off the road with hardly any acceleration, or worse yet...no power whatsoever. How can this not be considered a life threatening situation especially if the semi truck behind you cannot slow down in time when your car decides to turn itself off" or making a turn in a busy intersection... an oncoming vehicle may not be able to avoid crashing into you as you desperately try to restart your vehicle. This is not rocket science. It is clearly a dangerous issue that needs attention. Do the right thing and issue the recall and see to it that this part gets a permanent fix.

Vehicle lost power, engine continued to run but would not move. Problem started after stopping at light. Dealership said throttle body problem and reset computer. This has happened on several occasions but it does not store code, so they will not fix it. I have safety concerns about getting vehicle in traffic.
