I have a 2017 Ford Edge with 37,383 miles on it. The check engine light came on one day as I was driving however the car was running fine. I thought it was a fault light as I-??ve never had an issue with this veh. I took it in to the dealership and was told that it needed a new engine. Luckily it was covered under warranty HOWEVER it took 3 months to get my veh. back-??.3 weeks later the same thing happened on my 2018 Ford Escape with only 24,000 miles on it!

The engine in the 2017 Ford Explorer has a history of seizing, catching fire and failure without notice. This could cause serious injury or death. This is a very well known problem at Ford Motor Company and they are doing nothing to fix it. In fact they are hiding from it. The internet is loaded with information on this. The coolant leaks into the engine and destroys it. This has happened so much there are no more engines available in the country. It's not a matter if, it's a matter of when it will happen. 40,000 miles" 60,000 miles" My car has 77,000 miles. Ford is asking customers replace the engine at $7700 to the customer. There should be a recall and replacement process from Ford Motor Company fully funded by Ford. They engineered a bad engine. Sold it to the public. And they are ignoring the safety of the public for money. I have dealt with Morrie's Minnetonka Ford in Minnetonka Minnesota and they say Ford will not recall the engine despite the danger to the public. As usual it's all about the money. Happy to assist you with any details. I have a ecoboost engine on my Ford Edge that has known issues from Ford. Currently after driving past the 60k mile warranty cylinder 4 on my engine started leaking coolant into the engine block. I took my car to Ford to get it checked because I started to get notifications that the engine was overheating while in the car with my toddler. The mechanic informed me later that there was a TSB 19-2346 on my car and many others like it. I was told Ford would no help in anyway with replacing the engine. There was supposed to be a sensor inside my car to let me know about the coolant levelling dropping the way they have been but there wasn-??t even that. The car only let me know of the issue at the end when it started overheating to dangerous levels
