Jumpiness and jittering and chugging up to 35 mph

On [XXX] at [XXX] I was driving home from work as I turned on [XXX] road in Jackson CA I felt the vehicle pull and not want to pick up speed to drive up the road like it wanted to stall and only rolled forward a bit. The vehicle then picked back up and I made it to the stop light at the end of the road once I stopped for less than 1 minute the light turned green, I tried to go and the vehicle shut off and began to roll back I had to step on the break and the car behind me reversed so I would not hit him and then the screen flashed a turn vehicle off and restart engine I tried multiple times about 6. Cars had to go around me as I was the first at the light. I finally got the car to turn on and white smoke came out the exhaust pipes I couldn-??t put the car in drive. I tried to re start the vehicle again and got it into drive and was able to pull on the side of the highway and more white smoke came out still no vehicle warning signs came on but the screen flashed dimly like it wanted to turn off again. I flagged down a fire truck and called 911 for help the fighters stated it seemed like my engine had blown out and the coolant was completely drained and may have gotten inside the engine causing the white smoke but to take it to a mechanic to verify. I had the vehicle towed to my home. On the way to work that night it drove fine with no issues or warnings, or pulling, I ran errands the day prior and no light warnings came on nor was my vehicle temperatures out of place. I even had my car serviced on [XXX] and had no issues I keep up on the maintenance I got the vehicle used from enterprise with a mileage of 52,559 on [XXX] the vehicle now has only 96,634 I-??ve had the car for only a year and 4 months it should not have had an engine issue l have made a claim with my insurance hoping to get help, I-??m calling enterprise for warranty information if there-??s any and ford to see if there is any manufacturer warranties hoping to hear back this week. EGR cooler faulty; the year this vehicle was manufactured in 2019 has an active recall with this same issue; however because my vehicle in the same year; 2019, was manufactured in a different time bracket Ford will not honor said repair. Leaving me with an extended warranty whom will not cover said repair also. $1800(+) out of pocket expense. Any insight on how one is too challenge this?

I have a 2020 Ford Edge SEL and out of nowhere on 09-08-2023 smoke was pouring out of the exhaust and the car was misfiring. I looked further into it and it seemed to be the coolant was leaking down into the cylinder and causing it to burn through the exhaust making it very difficult to breathe. I sat in the car at a drive through for a couple minutes and it was unbearable to breathe. The car is stalling out while accelerating and could be very dangerous depending on where it stalls.

While sitting at a traffic signal light that had just changed I removed my foot from the brake and put it on the gas pedal. Suddenly the car lurched forward without any pressure being applied to the gas pedal. This could cause a serious accident if it accelerates at the wrong time.

On 11-16-2021 I put my 2020 Ford Edge in park, got out, and it rolled away. After I put the Edge in park, I opened my door and was moving a trash can, when the Edge rolled forward pinning me.

Driving on freeway within a minute of getting onto the freeway my check engine light came on, followed by engine coolant over heating light (first time it has turned on ever) and I lost almost full control on the freeway. I had to pull over to turn the car off. Waited 10 mins turned it back on could drive for a short distance again. I had to do this at least 10 times until I could get to an exit. This was while freeway traffic sped past me and I didn't always have a side to drive on. I was extremely scared and didn't have the ability to do anything about it. My car is a 2020 with only 2700 miles on it. This is not okay. I had my car towed to the dealership we bought it at and they are going to check it tomorrow, however my life was at risk being on the freeway with virtually no gas power to my car. I don't just want my engine replaced for a brand new car I want a new car. This is not ok.

2020 Ford Edge. Consumer stated that the vehicle jerks at low speeds. The consumer stated the dealer advised the vehicle needed to learn the consumer's way of driving. The consumer stated after driving 1400 miles the vehicle still jerks. The consumer stated the jerking aggravates an old unrelated neck injury. The consumer stated the engine shuts off while stopped at a light or stop sign. The manufacturer was notified.

Engine cut off while driving at highway speed in heavy dallas traffic. Required coming to complete stop to restart vehicle after crossing three lanes to reach shoulder of interstate. Dangerous. Daylight, mid day, clear weather conditions, had been driving 1.5 hours; mileage only 1,600. Dealer service dept ran computer diagnostics and no codes showed the problem. (numerous online forums have complained about this problem since back in 2005....very dangerous)
