Engine cuts off/stalls while car is in operation. This usually happens right at the beginning after start up. I can drive a short distance at low speed and then car stalls. This has almost caused an accident because someone was behind me and my completely stopped. It happens multiple times a day, about every other start.

I received a coolant low alert in the summer of 2019. Went to dealer, they blamed it on vegas weather, topped off the coolant. Alert came up again 10/28/19. Returned to dealer, got topped off. & got appointment for service on 11/1 /19. I had googled coolant leaks in my car. Leaking on drive way, I was told my Escape is not on recall, but the NHTSA. Is reporting safety issues with my make & model. I alert comes on while driving & when I start in the am, alert stays on stationary & motion

The contact owns a 2013 Ford Escape. While driving, the vehicle would shut off after the engine warmed up. The contact was able to rev the engine and move the vehicle off the road. The contact parked the vehicle and allowed it to cool off before restarting the engine and resuming normal operation. Golf mill Ford (9401 N milwaukee ave, niles, il 60714, (800) 821-7659) stated that there were no recalls and quoted $180 charge for diagnostic testing. An independent mechanic confirmed that the failure may be due to the electronic fuel pump. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that there was no recall for the failure and informed the contact to call NHTSA. The failure mileage was 85,000.

The contact owns a 2013 Ford Escape. The contact purchased the vehicle a month ago. While driving, the vehicle surged and then went into limp mode. The contact coasted the vehicle to the side of the road and powered off the engine. The vehicle was restarted and was able to drive normally. The contact also stated that the check engine warning indicator illuminated intermittently. The vehicle was taken to gordie boucher Ford of kenosha (8301 75th St, kenosha, wi 53142, (262) 697-0700) where it was diagnosed that the wastegate actuator failed and needed to be replaced. My car keeps stalling. It all started after one random drive of car sitting all night, all of a sudden my temperature gauge went skyrocketing and my car started smoking. And needed coolant which was fine just before all of that happen. After that it will just randomly stall, the oil pressure light will come on and then my battery light. My oil like on my dipstick is skyrocketing even after letting your car sit. Something needs to be done I drive to college everyday as well as taking my son to school everyday I cannot have a car where the engine catches on fire or I keep stalling out and then I'm 20 30 minutes late to class

Car overheated while driving four times between 2016-2018 (after each instance, it was towed to and serviced at a Ford dealer). Car also experienced three instances of exhaust leaks between 2016-2018 (each instance was identified by a strong smell of gas and serviced at a Ford dealer). In October 2019, the transmission failed while attempting to merge on the highway, requiring a tow to the Ford dealer, who recommended a complete transmission replacement at 105,000 miles.

I bought my car this year and the handle never worked. It stays stuck in the open position and the passenger door flys open while driving every time. I have also had coolant problems since the day that I bought the car. These are all shown on a recall list for my model car but when I check with my VIN it says I have 0 recalls. I have always owned Ford such as Expedition and Explorer but I am not a fan of this Escape and all it's problems. While driving, it will go hit and say low coolant and I have to refill coolant every week or so. It's cute off on my and the check engine light reads words and not codes. It says association of 'something'. this has been happening since I bought it April 2019 and I'm fed up. My kids can fall out of the car because of the door or I can have big problems with these coolant issues and motor issues.

Losing coolant but no visible signs where it's going. The water pump was changed but did not resolve problem. I bought the vehicle in 2013 and when the weather began to get cold the service engine light came on. I added a small amount of coolant then. It has gotten worse over the years but no one knows where I'm losing it from. I saw where other Ford Escapes are being recalled with the same problem but mine was not one of them. Can you please help me?
