I experienced a severe loss of power about about 2000 rpm, and shortly thereafter an engine code (P0087) started. I limped home, and rode my bike to work/church/grocery store for the next eight weeks (and counting). I brought it in to one shop, they said it was camshaft, and since it required specific tools to fix it, I would need to bring it in to Ford. Ford confirmed that it was a worn camshaft and a high pressure fuel system tappet. After being quoted $5000, and the car is only worth about $5800, I told them I was not interested in fixing it. This effectively totals the car, and I am looking into having it hauled away. Also, since this car had already cost me $7000 this year, I am short on cash to put down for a new car. I am done with Ford, especially after being quoted a price $20,000 over MSRP for a new car a couple of years ago.
