Driver side door has started to make a popping sound when opening and closing. It appears this is coming from inside the door at the door limiter. I am fearing this part could potentially fully break and become unfunctional causing door to pop open and cause potential injury to myself or other drivers on the roadways. Research has shown this is a consistent problem with this year and model vehicle.

Driver side door makes an unusual sound when opened all the way. Until it got to a point that it makes a popping sound when opened/or closed. The door check bracket is loose. Called the dealership and they said they-??d have to change the entire door?? That would cost thousands of dollars for something that-??s out my control. This has to be investigated and recalled for free. I-??m very concerned that this would eventually cause my car door to fall off while driving. God forbid!

My ford has been in no accidents or anything. One day the door started creaking. Making a CHUNK noise. After a few days of use there was a loud crack and you can see the weld spots have fallen out and the door no longer sits flush. It's the door, it won't close properly that seems like a safety risk. The door is literally falling off. Ford inspected and told me the price to fix would be 4500 bucks. No warnings.

The driver side door hinge has separated/ broken away from the door frame. The damage has also caused internal issues with the working mechanisms inside the door such as the window not going down fully.

My drivers door arm receptor has broken free of its spot weld inside the door, causing severe safety issues. [see Car and Driver article BY ALESSANDRA KAESTNERPUBLISHED: JUL 14, 2023] Same issue. This happened to me today 09/20/2023. * I cannot fully open drivers window because of this defect. Major safety issue if my vehicle goes into water. * I cannot open the door from outside, if locked. Major issue to persons with disabilities who can't climb across the console or back seats. I pulled a leg muscle today doing so. My back hurts also. Ford spot-welded the door arm receptor on a piece of metal that is too thin to provide support. This is enough for a recall. When will you do this" What is taking so long" Already tired of not being able to use drive thru because my window will not lower. A major inconvenience.

The drivers door made a loud pop when opening and it is now difficult to close and to open. it scrapes and pops out of place along the hinge and on the inside of the door. at one time it was not shutting at all. Hopefully it will not do this again, but something is broken. I was travelling when this happened with a passenger in my car and if m y door would not have shut at all i was far away from home and it would have been a huge inconvenience! I took my car to the dealer i bought it from in my town and he took a video of the noise it makes and the difficulty shutting and opening. He then called me the next day after talking to the techs that they are aware of this happening to some of the Escapes and i will have to seek a private shop to get a new door as he says this is not covered under warranty. This is preposterous and i cannot believe there is not a recall on this issue after i have read about this issue online and it is happening often. There was no warning, just a pop and immediately problems getting the door open and closed.

I-??ve replaced three times my rear window regulators on both sides. This part is only available thru Ford and there isn-??t a 3rd party part. You roll the window down and the regulator stops working/breaks. This has already cost me over $1000 on parts/labor.
