The contact owns a 2021 Ford Escape. The contact stated that when she opened the front driver-€™s side door, she heard a popping sound. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the front driver-€™s side door spot welds failed and needed to be rewelded. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was advised to call the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.
