Recalls fixed 11/15/2022 on my 2017 Ford Expedition. I purchased in March 2018 After picking up my Ford from WINNER Ford, Dover DE yesterday 11/15/2022 I realized my backup Camera screen is fuzzy, the stopped working before I even left the premises. In 2022 Ford recalled Expedition Backup Carmera camera with distorted screens but not for 2017. I have had 2 batteries. There has to be an electrical problem. My remote start stopped working in 0ctober 2022 after the recalls were fixed but my keyfob can still lock and unlock, my driver power seat does not move when started or turning off, my doors will not lock using the door buttons, when I open my drivers door there's and alarm as if there's a light on or a malfunction. Fordpass SYNC will not update to the system to newest version and my ForD. I have Ford connected service on my Ford Pass app.

We went to local dealer to get remedy on blower motor recall. They found the pig tail on resister that supplies power tot he blower motor was melted. Ford has stated that its not a part of the blower motor recall and wants us to pay for repairs. Seems like the electrical fire would start from the power source giving the motor power.... ecspecially since ours got so hot apparently it melted this wires together. This issue should be part of that recall.

At approximately 100,000 miles our park assist camera began to distort, and over the course of several weeks it finally stopped working. This has not caused any issues so far, but could pose a minor safety risk until it's fixed, as reversing in a large SUV like our Expedition EL leaves much to be desired without a park assist camera.

Our car experienced a failed Throttle Body Assembly. While driving our car, the engine would lose power, and the car would start to violently shake. The wrench light would come on the dash. We would have to pull over whether we were on the highway or a city street. Once we turned the car off and back on the wrench light would disappear. We took the car to our mechanic who could not figure out the issue due to no codes. The Ford dealership told us the same thing as our mechanic - without a code(s) it would take a lot of time and money to figure out the problem. Finally after several (at least 5 time) scary occurrences of this issue, the engine light came on and gave a code. We fixed the issue on June 23, 2022.

Shortly after the car was started and while still parked, a foul smell was detected and black smoke observed coming from the air vents. The vehicle was then turned off however within minutes of safely exiting all passengers from the vehicle, flames came out towards the passenger seat from underneath the glove box. An unsuccessful attempt was made to smother the flames with large wet towels before being successfully put out with the fire extinguisher. 911 was called and the fire department suspected the cause of the fire was the HVAC motor blower. The battery was disconnected and the car towed to the dealership where it has been for the past week. As of yesterday, according to the dealer, the source of the fire is thought to be a short circuit in the HVAC motor blower. The insurance is awaiting the fire report at this point.

We bought a warranty but the repairs were not covered by the warranty because it is considered a "maintenance issue." The repairs cost about $1,000.

Car will downshift to 1st gear, engine RPM will go to 8000, and loss of power. This is a major concern with winter coming on, when one travels on ice or snow and car decides to downshift, guess what, one will wreck!! has been to two dealerships for a total of 23 days and they cant find anything. No codes are stored. Also from time to time when starting all electrical power will come on but no start. Take key out wait a few minutes then key works.
