My 2020 Ford Explorer's center screen has an intermittent problem where the display hangs up and is unresponsive to any input. It will also start going blank and then comes back again over and over. So far the dealership hasn't been able to replicate the issue (of course), but has made sure the connections in the rear are good and the software is fully updated. Neither has made any difference. It's very frustrating because this screen also controls parts of the climate control (e.g. switching between floor, dash, mix, etc.). The audio from the radio and navigation continues to work, even when the screen is blacked out.

Update from Mar 21, 2024: As of March 2024, the intermittent display issues remain. I've had recall work performed for an intermittent blue screen from the rear camera, but that made no difference on the issue. I've attempted to go by the dealership when the issue was occurring, but when I get there, the issue seems to stop and it works as expected.

HOWEVER, last week I was able to get to the dealership while the issue was happening and they service personnel were FINALLY able to confirm the issue and even record it on their cellphone. They have ordered the part (APIM) and are replacing it. I will update this complaint after this work has been performed.
