The contact owns a 2004 Ford F-150. While driving approximately 55 mph and attempting to slow down, the brakes failed to engage. The contact discovered that the brake vacuum hose separated due to a defective clamp. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer stated that the VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 08V208000 (service brakes, hydraulic). The failure mileage was 226,000.....updated 07/05/16
