Window failure in my 2004 F150 Ford pickup. Window just falls down & tape will not even hold it up. This is a well known failure by Ford & no recall. Also, my automatic transmission is slipping for the second time. It only has 47K miles with these well known & documented pervasive problems.

I was driving down the road when my window on my Ford F150 lariat came crashing down two weeks ago( my child was sitting next to the window she is 6 mths old) & it distracted me long enough to look back @ the road & there was a car stopped to make a sudden turn & I couldn't slow down fast enough & I hit them in the rear. All 4 of us went to hospital with minor injuries. It was my fault the cop said but I told him about the window & he didn't give me a ticket thankfully. Its still @ the body shop being fixed the problem was the window regulator & it is being replaced but the body shop manager says these go out way to much this is the 3rd one replaced on this truck, so I looked online & couldn't believe how many people have this problem I think you should research this & put a recall on them & make Ford fix them for free this is definitely caused from Ford trying to cut corners & save $ but this is a serious problem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a failure of the driver's side window falling down into the door while driving. This seams to be a very common problem for the Ford F-150 pickup. While it has not lead to a crash to my knowledge, the potential is there. Imagine driving down the interstate in crowed traffic and your window drops down without warning. Your attention will definitely be distracted from your driving and during inclement weather this could be even more dangerous. Everything I have read points to the same product failure. A recall should be mandatory before someone gets hurt.

My front passenger window fell into the door as I was stopped at a stoplight waiting to get on the highway. From the sound of it I thought the window had broken. It was a good thing I wasn't driving down the highway during that time. It probably would have caused a major accident.

I was going to my truck and I realized that the driver's side window was down. When I tried to raise it, it made a grinding noise and would not budge. All of my personal belongings were in my truck and someone could have easily taken them. I will not be able to go to work or school with the window down and I am not paying to have it repaired. This is Ford's responsibility. Something needs to be done about this issue.

Right rear window in my 2004 Ford F150 fell while driving home on I10 with a infant and a two year old in their car seats. I am really upset that Ford has done nothing about this. We had to drive over 150 miles with the window down in approx. 107 degree weather in Arizona. Please make them fix the problem. Exactly one month later the passenger side rear window fell down as well so now I have two pinned up windows because I cant afford to fix them, we are a military family with my husband serving the enduring freedom tour in afghanistan.

My drivers side window went out one day, then about two days later my passenger and back left window went out. I brought it to the Ford dealership to get it fixed, along with what I thought was a spark plug and coiles. Well I a found out that a 2004 F-150 I have to replace the engine. While it was in the shop my back right window aperantly went out. It was working when it went in, and when I got it back I had a plastic tarp on my window, panel was off, and noone had told me they let it rain in my truck or that the one window that had worked was now out also.

As I lowered the driver's-side power window, it made a loud scraping noise and then an even louder pop/crack which made me think the window had broken. I raised the window cautiously and even though it continued to make noises, the glass appeared to be undamaged. About 5 minutes later, the window slid down into the door of the truck.

I was driving home on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2009, and the passenger side window in my 2004 Ford F-150 pickup, fell into the door. I could not get it to go back up and have no idea why this occurred. This could have been a very dangerous situation, as I was passing a large truck at the time and thought that I had been sideswiped. Ford should fix this problem based on the number of occurrences that I have now seen.

I own a Ford F150 V8 5.4 tritan about a month ago my passengers side window fell down in the door while I was driving down the road. It scared me and caused me to swerve while driving. This is definitely an issue. About a week ago my drivers side E window did the same thing while driving on a two lane winding road. It crashed down into the door scaring me and almost causing an accident. After doing some research I realized that this is problem many other Ford owners are having and not just a fluke. Something needs to be done about this before it causes an accident resulting in someone's death.

The power windows on my F-150 have failed on four different occasions, with one window failing twice. A family member was driving the first time this occurred and was fortunate not to wreck the vehicle. The latest occurrence was fortunate that it occurred while I was in the parking lot of the mall. It is evident by the number of complaints that Ford is not taking this problem as serious as they should.

I, like thousands of others of concerned consumers, have experienced faulty window regulators in my 2004 Ford F-150. Last night, my rear window broke when trying to role it up. Several months ago, my driver window broke when I wasn't even using the window or near the truck. I just walked out to my truck with the window down - thinking someone had broken into my truck. When complaining to Ford, they said there is nothing that can be done. The guy at the Ford service department at my local dealership said he had the same truck at the time and had already replaced 3 on his truck. As for correcting the problem when doing the $350 repair, he told me the repair is the same as it was manufactured and he acknowledged problem would repeat over time. Paying over $30,000 for a truck and having windows breaking like this is absurd. For Ford to refuse to correct the problem is more absurd. Consumers need your help, please do something.
