I was driving on the interstate when the right rear window fell into the door. This is the third time this has happened. I took the Ford F150 to the dealership and paid over $400 to replace the window regulator.

I have a 2004 Ford F-150 crew cab. With my crew cab the rear windows are capable of being lowered to the top portion of the door, at arm level. Both my rear windows and now my drivers door window regulator have gone out with the windows slamming down within the door. I have four small children, 9, 7, 5, and 3. as the windows have fallen down without warning a shade fell onto my youngest, all due to the defect of the regulator in the F-150. This is a major hazard and I think that a recall is in place to mandate that Ford recall this item and fix the problem.

While driving, heard a loud "pop", "klunk". after rolling down my window, tried to roll it back up, but now won't roll up. This has happened to 3 of my windows. The problem with 1st window occurred 1 yr ago--other 2 window broke w/in a few weeks of each-other. I've had one window repaired. The dealer said a small plastic part broke and that it is a common problem. Cost to repair one window: 360.00!!! this is a safety problem---if you cannot roll your window up, it leaves the driver vulnerable. Why would Ford use a small plastic part on such a big component of a truck" is there a recall on this part? if not, can you please explain why not? I would not be so upset if this problem occurred in 1 window, but three?" now I'm waiting for the 4th window to go. And at $360 a pop! something just isn't right.

2004 Ford F150 supercrew window regulator failure. My truck has sat through 2 years of deployments, for me to only return and in a matter of 3 years to have all 4 window regulators fail in my truck. Ford should do a recall on this problem. The mechanics at the dealers are fully aware of this issue and the frequency of which it happens. $440 is too much per incident. Window mechanism on 2004 Ford F-150 fails suddenly and window is stuck in the down position. This has happened twice on two different windows. This can be a personal safety issue of course as well as a huge security issue. Dealer told me that Ford used cheap plastic parts in the 2004 and they get hundreds of customers in for this repair.

I have an 04 F-150 and just yesterday my power window regulator went out on me and now cannot roll window back up. I live in Wisconsin and just my luck it has started to snow. I am very disappointed in the quality of my first Ford product I have purchased in 15 years. I have been reading up on several hundred posts stating that they have had to replace this same regulator several times on the same vehicle. Please advise as to what we can do to resolve my issue. I had to take the day off of work in order to locate a new regulator. I went to my local auto parts dealer and said they had to special order it. Then I went to the next nearest town to a Ford dealer. Finally purchased the regulator for $200. After owning this vehicle for just under 1 month and having to replace something that has had so many complaints on, I feel you as a well respected company needs to step up to the plate and admit faults.
