My 2013 Ford F150 has been throwing wrench light while downshifting automatically. for months. Then I lose my speedometer and the airbag light illuminates. I also have had random downshifting that causes a lock up in the back end (basically giving the feeling of slamming on the breaks). I took my vehicle in to Ford dealership on 12/8/22 and they did states that it was part of the 19N01 lead frame recall. My truck was at around 104,000 miles. I have called multiple times with no luck on when part will be available. I have no other vehicle to drive and ford has not offered any type of resolution. After having the rear end lock up multiple times I am concerned to continue driving the vehicle. I am also very concerned with what kind of other damage all this erratic downshifting is doing to my vehicle, especially the automatic transmission.

This is similar to at least two other incidents that occurred prior to the two previous recall for the same problem. No other vehicles were around and I was able to safely pull to the side of the road. The issue has not been replicated this time and it will be 2/16/2023 before the dealer can inspect it. So the safety recall dealing with the (OSS) I just had done. However, the 0720 or 0702 issue that Ford has implemented an Extended warranty on the Transmission Lead Frame is a fatality waiting to happen. This is every bit a safety hazard as the down shift issue. This issue causes your speedometer to go dead, all of your gauges except the gas to go negative and your gears will go from 1st to 3rd, or 1st to 5th. The issue with this, I cant count how many times I've been at a stop sign or light, waiting to pull into traffic when I have an opportunity, I pull out and my truck just Boggs down because it has shifted from 1st to 5th from a dead stop... now, I've pulled out into traffic with traffic approaching at speed and instead of being able to get up to speed myself I'm a sitting duck! This is crazy, you never know when it's gonna happen, but it happens to me at least 3-6 times a trip. Now I just had the recall updated today, but when they ran the diagnostics to confirm I have the 0702 issue and they can fix it under the extended warranty, the part is anywhere from 3 weeks to 3 months out. LOL. That's rediculous. I clearly can't go that long without my vehicle. And Ford isn't gonna give any sort of compensation for a loaner car or rental car for this issue. So I'm stuck driving a vehicle that is a major safety factor everytime I'm on the road. If I could guarantee it wouldn't hurt anyone else, i wish I would get in an accident. Then we could hold Ford accountable for this safety issue. And with the mass numbers of consumers on line that say they're having this same issue, you'd think Ford could get the part out quicker. There are a lot of people with this same issue. I'd be crazy to think it hasn't yet cause major accidents! Class action law suit, I don't know what our options are, but I've tweeted Ford, and called corporate and they aren't doing anything other than the extended waranty. Took me nearly 2 months for a dealer to even get me in for the SAFTEY recall! SMH

Truck downshifts too low gear while driving at highway speeds. Speedometer goes to zero and RPMs run high. Ford has a voluntary recall in place to replace the lead frame in the transmission, but the part is on back order and dealership has no idea how long it will take to receive the part. Ford refuses to provide loaner vehicle or reimburse for rental car. My truck has been at dealer awaiting part for over a month, but many others have been waiting for much longer.
