The molded lead frame on the assembly on the transmission burned back causing transmission to be stuck in 5th gear. I had to have replaced the molded lead frame along with the valve body, only because the molded lead frame was 2 to 3 months out. I then looked up and seen a tsb of 13-6-8 bulletin affecting my truck. Was wondering if I could get reimbursed for the molded lead frame. The warning signs were a wrench sign, then no speedometer, dashes on the mileage, stuck in 5th gear. Along with the seat belt reminder on.The truck was repaired at a auto shop.

While traveling at highway speeds the vehicle unexpectedly downshifts to 1st gear causing the vehicles wheels to lock up which results in a total loss of control of the vehicle. Other times the vehicle will fail to shift/ accelerate when the gas pedal is depressed, which is certainly a safety concern when it happens while attempting to merge into traffic. At the same time the speedometer guage needle will drop to zero mph. The speedometer will only work again after the vehicle is shut off and restarted. Another huge safety hazard is that occasionally when the gas pedal is released the vehicle will continue to accelerate on its own for a short period of time.

I have 2013 Ford f150 Fx4 Ecoboost 140,000miles on it. While driving my truck will unexpectedly downshift while I'm trying to accelerate so I took it to Ford dealership because recall mentioned a sudden downshift to first gear which is what my truck was doing but after taking it to the dealership to be repaired the problem has gotten worse and now when I try to accelerate the rpms go up but my truck doesn't respond even when I push the pedal all the way to the floor it happens at least once a day now. Today I was attempting to cross the opposite lane when my pedal stopped responding and had the oncoming vehicles been any closer there would of been a head on accident, this puts my safety at risk as well as my daughter's and other drivers. although I had to bring it in for it to be fixed and they say they fixed it the problem continues so to me I would say yes it's been confirmed by a dealer and inspected, and supposedly repaired or reprogrammed, but if you would like to inspect it or confirm anything be my guest, I video of it suddenly downshifting but cannot attach it because the file is to large so I took screenshots of the video the first pic at 21sec in it's in 4th gear 2nd pic at 25 sec in shows it downshift to 1st 3rd pic at 30 sec in shows it jumping up to 6th

When starting off transmission will not shift out of first gear. Speedometer remains at zero. Only way to fix the problem is to pull off the road and restart the vehicle. Sometimes the wrench icon appears on the dashboard. This problem began at approximately 70,000 miles on the odometer. Vehicle was taken in for repair and the speed sensor was replaced. This did not correct the problem.

9/16/22 My wife was driving about 50 mph when the transmission suddenly shifted into 1st gear causing the rear end of the truck to slide sideways and hit a curb. The force of the collision with the curb caused the right rear tire to blow out and my wife was left with bruises from the seatbelt. The was no warning prior to the incident. The truck was at the dealership on 7/13/22 for a recall for this same problem, they flashed the PCM and said that would fix the problem. I have since brought it back to the dealership they said the lead frame speed sensor in the transmission needs to be replaced and that is not covered by the recall and would cost over $2000. I also called Ford to report the incident Case # [XXX]. Ford stated this was normal wear and tear and they would not cover the repair. INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

On October 16, 2022 I was driving at a speed of 45mph. the 2013 F150 changed gears by itself. I maintained control and drove the vehicle home. i got on my computer and looked up the issue to see if others had experienced this and found out there is a recall. Never heard about it until then. I took to the dealership this morning 10/17 and they say they reprogrammed the pcm. Picked up the truck and driving out of the parking lot, the truck did the same thing, only worse. NOW they tell me the truck needs a transmission molded lead frame. BUT they don't have that in stock and it is backordered. They said i needed a transmission diagnostic. i refused that and told them there were no problems until the 16th and now since they supposedly fixed it the problem became worse. Then they said well there is one more thing but we have to hook it us to the computer and it had to show some codes before they could replace that part. it didn't show the codes. I had read about that and told them sometimes codes show and sometimes they don't. I told them to drive the truck and tell me it is fixed They drove it and it had the issue. Mechanic saw the wrench on the dash, tested and the code came up. then he said the truck needed the part. Dealer has the complete part in stock (the molded lead frame with another piece on it) they will charge $1100. I have no choice now but to get it replaced. I need the truck. they had the audacity to call me and tell me they needed to replace the transmission fluid filter, but it would be another $279. Since the didn't have the original part that is warrantied, they should have thrown in the filter. I called a mechanic friend of mine and he said decline the filter. they are just trying to get money out of you. This is really the first issue I have had with the vehicle. I hope this fixes the problem. Ford needs to do something more extensively about this problem before someone is killed.

On September 24, 2022 my 2013 Ford F-150 truck abruptly and without warning down shifted from a highway speed of approximately 50 miles per hour to first gear. I could barely operate the truck and had to cross traffic to get it safely to the side of the road where I turned it and restarted the engine. Something similar happened on August 14th while I was pulling a trailer with a horse in tow. The issue appears to be intermittent and I am unable to predict when it will occur. The truck was part of a previous recall # 19S07. I brought it in for the reprogramming in 2020. I took it into a Ford dealership on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 for a diagnostic and they are saying they can-??t get the codes to show an issue. The dealership is sending the vehicle back to me with out repair. Operating the truck is a safety hazard for myself and others on the road way.

The vehicle is downshifting while driving. It is getting almost too unsafe to drive. Once this happens you can-??t get it to get out of first gear so you can-??t get out of traffic. The downshifting is scary in itself. I see that their is a recall and we have taken it in to reprogram the computer for the ecoboost, but now it is even worse.

While driving my F-150 at around 55-65 mph. The vehicle slowed down suddenly with a large wrench displaying on the instrument panel causing the truck to swerve not allowing me to accelerate causing me to nearly lose control also. I had to pull to the curve and I switch it off. After restarting it I could resume driving. I did a research of what it was doing and found out it was a Safety Recall 19S07 for Certain 2011 - 2013 Model Year F-150 Vehicles Equipped with A 6R80 Transmission 6R80 Sudden Transmission Downshift - Powertrain Control Module Reprogramming. I took it to the Ford Dealership in which they said they fixed the issue only to have the same issue to continue. I took it back and now they say that they can't fix it because it is pass the recall time limit of 150,000 miles and I need to get a transmission. It started out doing it once a day, but now it is doing it 3 times a day. I only had this vehicle for 2 years never receive a recall letter. I 196,000 miles on the vehicle.
