There is a for CSP in place for a faulty molded lead frame for the transmission. While driving my vehicle will downshift to 1st gear randomly. One time it happened at 60mph and I almost crashed. I just called Ford to get it handled and they say there is no recall on this life threatening malfunction only an extended warranty in which I do not qualify because I have exceeded the mileage limit of 150,000 miles or 10 years from original warranty start. I am currently at 165,000 miles. Ford claims they sent a disclaimer I'm the mailer back in 2019 but I never received it or I would have had this issue addressed then because it had already happened a couple times by then. So now I'm waiting for a customer service supervisor to call me but they haven't yet....they are unwilling to help me and told me to call the Better Business Bureau if I don't like it.

While driving down highway at highway speeds, the truck shifted in to 1st gear by itself causing a near collision. I had to get to the side of the road quickly almost causing a fatal accident. I got it to a Ford dealer and the service department said the leadframe on the transmission had started to fail causing the transmission to change gears on its own and also shorted out the instrument control panel. I found out Ford knew about the problem with the defective parts but did not inform me. They also had a Customer Satisfaction recall for this problem up to 150,000 miles. My vehicle has 153,000 miles so Ford will not replace the defective part under the recall. With what I experienced with this part failure, I believe this should be a safety recall before someone gets killed, if they have not already done so. Cars, like appliances, should be designed to fail safely not fail in such a way as to endanger the occupants and other vehicles around them.

Driving down highway at 65 miles per hour the truck lurched forward and acted like it had a total loss of power. The speedometer dropped to 0 and stayed. The airbag light came on. The truck downshifted from 6 gear to 1 st gear instantly, throwing the truck into a slide. I lost control of it, went into a ditch came back up on the road as it proceeded to lurch forward and stop consistently like it was possessed ! I threw it into neutral and as the motor was redlining as well. The center info screen went blank and a wrench appeared on it to the right. I drove to my work in 3 rd gear and it shifted up to 5 th. But would not shift down up past that. I had it towed to the only dealer that worked on transmission recalls. I paid 65$ to have it towed. They did the reprogramming as per Ford. I got it back a month later. Worked great for 4 days then on my way to a tire rotation at 71 mph it did it again. Downshifted to 1 st. Violently. This time I almost got hit by a semi truck! Had it towed again, cost me 90$ this time. Same place. They got in a fix part for it some ring assembly that goes in transmission. Gonna cost me over 370$ for certain parts the recall won-??t cover. We will see if this fixes

Engine oil continuously spills onto the engine, and it has caused engine failure. The check engine light and the oil reserve light will come on and it will cause a massive decrease in speed and even shut down. I was coming off the highway when it shut down last time almost causing a massive car accident. We have taken it to the ford dealership, but they told us that we would need a new engine.

On several occasions my F150 2013 while driving this vehicle went from 6 th gear to 1st the last time this happened I was getting off an exit ramp at 45 mph and almost flipped my truck. Both recalls were performed on my truck in. 2019. Ford motor company refused to fix my truck. They have extended the warranty on the part causing the problem for 10 years or 150,000 miles which my truck is under both.

Transmission suddenly downshifting and locked up rear wheels. I was almost rear ended going 45 with my kids in the truck. Took in for recall associated to this issue a few years back and they did a pcm reprogram that was supposed to fix this issue. Now I took it in and the replaced the lead frame under the recall. Got my truck back and got no more that 200yds from the dealership and it stuck in 2nd gear. Next stop light it stuck in 5th gear. This put my life in danger of getting into a wreck. I took it back 30 min later. Now they said I need a transmission due to this recall failing my transmission. I just forked out almost $4400. for a transmission. That failed to to ford covering up a transmission fault for years. No previous problems with my transmission. Service work completed at a Ford dealership. I feel ford should have replaced this transmission.

I was driving my truck in north Georgia while towing a trailer under 5000 lbs. The truck was in cruis control at 68 mph and the truck suddenly down shifted from 5th to 1st. I got the truck off the interstate at a reduced speed since it wouldn't shift up. When this happened an orange wrench light came on. When I stopped I turned the truck off and the light went away. We fueled up and got on the road. Shortly after the truck did the same thing with dropping to first gear and felt like it lost power steering. We pulled over and detached the trailer. I then got back on the road and after getting off the interstate and to slower roads the truck did the same thing. Every time the truck did this it reset the lights on the dash. The truck then sat for 5 days with out being driven. On my way home the check engine light came on. On Sunday June 12th the truck was dropped off at banner ford in Mandeville louisiana. The mechanic advised that while the truck acted like the lead frame recall issues they will not do anything unless I can prove the truck did this. The proof is they need to have a code show up. However, every time it did this the wrench light went away when the truck was restarted. I was told by Ford that when this happens I need to drive the truck straight to dealer without turning it off. Since the dealer said they couldn't do anything I called the 1 866 Ford number. The CAS # with Ford is attached to this. There has been poor communication with ford toe through this. The dealer told Ford that I picked the truck up earlier this week but in reality I picked it up today because the dealer called me yesterday. The ford apparently the dealer mechanic never communicated with Fords mechanic to resolve my issue and told them I got my truck sooner.
