Serious vibration at or around 45 to 70mph. Steering wheel vibration, front end vibration. Usually around the time the transmission temp hits the normal temp truck starts vibrating. Usually starts at 40mph and gets worst with higher mph. Bought the truck back in Nov of 2018 all was fine till about 2 months ago when the vibration started. Not very happy.

I was driving on a highway at 55 miles/H pulling a trailer with a light load. The truck suddenly went from normal engine sound to a louder and louder sound and it slowed down as if I was been dragged backward. The engine sound felt like the truck had down shifted from a higher to a lower gear and was braking on its own while I was trying to compensate by giving more gas so that I could pullover safely. Within a minute the truck stopped still, there was smoke and fire that spread rapidly through the cabine and engine. We nearly escaped. I was unable to completely clear the trailer off the road as the truck had completely stopped. The truck burned completely. Before reporting this incident I called Ford, provided my VIN number and asked whether there had been any recent recalls on my F150. Ford confirmed that a recall (# 19S07) that impacted my VIN was issued in Feb, 2019. However, I do not remember receiving any notification from my Ford dealership.

When entering onto the interstate I felt the truck was not getting up to speed. I then noticed on my dashboard a big wrench. I felt my truck continue to not gain speed even though I was stepping on the gas.the screen then went black and and when the dashboard came back on I had nothing showing. No mph, fuel economy, etc and I was stuck in 5th gear.I could not increase speed but only decrease if I stepped on the break.I don't know how fast I was going but it was not fast at all since everyone was passing me(maybe 40 mph).I also noticed my airbag light was on. I had to pull over on the interstate and restart my truck.once I did that everything came back on and worked for the rest of the ride. I was recently part of a Ford recall but had that fixed.I had the automatic downshifting happen to me 3 times before the first recall was in place. I just got a letter last week that they need to redo the recall, I had the downshifting happen to me and this was not it. This is a entirely different safety issue that is making me afraid to drive my own truck since most of my time is on the interstate. Photos are attached of what was happening to me on the interstate.

I received notice of recall to schedule repair (software) upgrade. I contacted the dealer several times to only be told to keep calling back to see if they have received the software upgrade from Ford. They said there is no problem with continuing to drive the truck until the problem is repaired.

My vehicle was in motion on the interstate traveling at about 65 mph and my vehicle did an unintended downshift to first gear almost costing me my life. Cars managed to miss me and I narrowly made it to the shoulder to a safe place to recover. The car continued to jerk in similar fashion as attempt to exit the interstate to get to a service center. The vehicle was unable to safely make it to the nearest Ford service center so I called a tow through geico roadside assistance. The tow took me to auto nation Ford and there they explained to me that the issue I experienced was due to a recall that they are currently fixing; however, when they saw that I had a 2013 Ford F150 model, he immediately apprised me of the fact that Ford did not have the software yet to reprogram the powertrain control module to prevent the unintended downshift. The representative then told me there was another recall in the system for this vehicle that he could do, but it would not remedy the initial situation. My vehicle is not drivable and I asked when Ford would have a remedy for this. He stated that it was supposed to be this current quarter, but they had not received the information to do the reprogram. Now, I am without a vehicle due to no fault of my own. I think they should give me a loaner or pay for a rental car, because they have no timeline as to when this recall remedy will be available.

NHTSA recall 19V-075. Recall caused failure in transmission. Problem did not exist prior to recall update. Supplement #1 issued 5/15/2019 indicated my 5-liter engine with a 6R80 transmission should not have been upgraded with recall 19so7. Each time I use my truck tow /haul and brake on a grade, the transmission downshifts to second gear and will not exit until I turn off the tow/haul function. Dealer marshall Ford O'fallon mo, tells me don't use function. I find this most inconvenient, considering I have driven this vehicle five years towing my boat without a prior incident. Now it happens every time. I am getting no response from Ford corporate or dealer since first communique. They have assigned me a case #2170, but that is all. My fear at this point I will damage this transmission and be left with the repairs.

Reported this problem before and now it getting worse it was just the transimission shifting from high gear 6 at 70 mpg in cruise and when I tap the breake peddle to disengage the cruise it dowm shifted to low 1 and the RPM went from 2500 to 6500 and stay in low until I came to a stop then everything went back to normal it now also blown transimission lines and when I take off from a side street of stop light it will take off ok then about the time I reach the center of the street it will sfift into nuteral I can step or pump the gas peddle but nothing happens it just goes into a slow role after 3 to 5 sec it then jumps into gear and takes off normal again also at slow speeds you can hear and feel it clunking into and out of gear and with a metallic sound some times once in the snow had it in 4X4 at parked it and turned it off the next day I back it out of the drive then shifted it into drive then the transfer case shifted it out of 4X4 and it sounded like 2- 8 lbs sledge hammers smashing together and jarring the hole truck this in the beginning has only happen a few times but I was on the freeways at hi speeds I dont drive it on the freeways now and because the dealer ships want a $100 each time I take it in for the same problem and they dont do anything and plus I paid eatra for the platinum warrenty so if I have to leave it I get a loner and I have even been able to get a loner even when it took them over a week to install the transmission lines after they blow out from stop and going in on residential streets also when the trucks shift from high to low you can hear the solenoids shifting all overe under the dash floor infront of the seat along with the dash light flashing even one with a eng with a trans attached

Active recall. Tranny will search for gear, disengage then violently downshift. Rpms peg at 6,500+ violent jerking. Ford says safe to drive"? no solution yet. This engine will blow at highway speeds, tranny likely damaged significantly from downshift to 1st @ 75mph. This is safe? I drive most high speed mileage. Problem worse when cruise control engaged. Dealer refuses to touch the vehicle. Sometimes truck tranny willnot engage from park, no speedo output but rpms register. Selector output may read 5 or 6 gear from park. Called Ford....csr initially played dumb until I cited recall #. when my engine blows or tranny beyond repair, will Ford fix?"

The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. While the vehicle was parked, the contact heard a clicking noise emerging from the fuse box inside the cabin. The vehicle lost all electrical capability and the air bag warning indicator illuminated. The contact stated that the failure occurred two other times. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were not notified. The approximate failure mileage was 110,000.

The transmition when driving will suddenly shift down to 1st gear then 2nd gear. It will get stuck on 2nd gear. This happened 3 times to my vehicle. 1st time was at traffic light accelerate then suddenly it shifted down from 5th to 1st and 2nd. At the same day I was driving on a highway and the truck shfited down from 5th gear so fast I thought I got hit by a car. I had 2 more dangerous incidents. The second one was in motion going about 60 mph. The third one was in motion going about 30 mph.

Vehicle always in motion, appears to lose power, wrench light comes on, odometer has dash lines, speedometer falls to 0, and other mpg digital sensors, distance to empty sensor and air bag failure all happen simultaneously. Occasionally the truck seems to have power loss at lower speeds. Tachometer continues to work. A few times shutting ignition off and turning on again all goes back to normal. Recently had recall software upgrade completed but the problem occurred just 4 days later as I was turning onto freeway. Before the recall work was done I took vehicle to local shop I trust, there were multiple codes found. I had the service tech I had clear the codes. All incidents have occurred at speeds less than 30. All seem to be associated with loss of power and noise from transmission.

We have had the back door lock freeze and cannot unlock back doors. We are replacing passenger back door lock for second time and have replaced driver side back door lock once. This is very dangerous as doors cannot be opened from inside and if in accident it could cause a death. There needs to be an investigation into this matter. Three times replacing locks is too much!
