While driving between speeds of 55-70 mph on the highway, the vehicle entered "limp-mode". the driver notification panel displayed "service traction control, service engine, " and displayed an the airbag symbol. Vehicle immediately lost the ability to maintain speed or accelerate. The engine remained on with power steering and brakes. After maneuvering out of a travel lane onto the should, the vehicle shuttered at low speeds until the engine was turn-off. After restarting the engine, the notification were removed and had no issues at that time. After nearly 1000 more miles of driving, the vehicle had the same issue while driving approximately 65mph on a highway. The same symptoms were demonstrated. After restarting the vehicle from the shoulder of the highway, the vehicle drove with no issues. Ford dealership in seaside California advised that it was a faulty electronic throttle body. The repairs are not covered outside the bumper to bumper warranty.

While driving my 2015 Ford F150 platinum (V6 eco boost) on an hwy (70 mph) the truck encountered loss of pedal response and three warning light as I coasted to a stop in heavy traffic. These three warning lights: Hill assist traction control, advanced trac warning indicator, driver assistance indicator. The truck to transition to 'limp' mode (accelerator and power steering doesn't work) which a dangerous and scary. Most 'limp' mode incidents have occurred while descending downhill, has occurred seven times so far. I have taken it to the dealer, and they just clear code and say your good ($130 diagnostic fee). Then the error occurs the same day. With more online research there a massive problem with the throttle body which causes this to happen. There needs to be a Ford recall for this before someone gets hurt.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. After the contact arrived home, parked the vehicle, and entered the house, his son informed him that the vehicle rolled out of the driveway. The contact's wife jumped in the vehicle from the passenger side and managed to depress the brake pedal with her hands. The failure was recorded via the doorbell camera. There was no warning indicator illuminated. The vehicle was taken to gus machado Ford (1200 w 49th St, hialeah, fl 33012, (305) 820-2560), but they did not diagnose or repair the vehicle since there were no loaner vehicles available. The vehicle was then taken to midway Ford (8155 w flagler St, miami, fl 33144, (305) 921-4148) where the secretary refused to schedule an appointment and would not review the video footage. The service manager refused to assist the contact and stated that the failure was related to a transmission error. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to take the vehicle to a dealer. The failure mileage was 53,257.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the vehicle lost power and stalled without warning. There had also been some difficulty shifting gears from drive into park and reverse because the gear would not fully shift in place. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA campaign numbers: 19V075000 (power train) and 18V894000 (engine). Apple Ford Lincoln of apple valley (7200 150th St w, apple valley, mn 55124, (952) 431-5900) was unable to diagnose or repair the vehicle after it had been taken back and forth more than once. The failure recurred with the vehicle stalling at any rate of speed and the vehicle was taken back to the dealer due to the potential risk of a crash. The vehicle was not included in NHTSA action number: RQ17010 (power train). The manufacturer was notified of the failures. The approximate failure mileage was 3,000.. consumer replaced throttle body, both times vehicle lost all power other than idle @ roughly 60mph.

The vehicle was repaired. The diagnosis information was unavailable. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 38,000.

4WD issues. While driving -goes in and out of full time 4WD for no reason. Becomes hard to steer and often pulls to one side or another. When I want to be in 4WD-a (automatic/AWD) it will not allow me to shift back out or it will stay in 4WD-H full time. Even when I come to stop it will not shift out of 4WD despite indicator saying that it has.

Have reoccurring issues with a clutch slip. I've lost power traction on ice, rain slick surfaces and now off road while going up a steep mountain road. I almost went over a mountain side. Looking online several complaints and videos many are referring to as the " squawking" it does appear their is a tsb, Ford is aware but wont make the recall official. Ive been trying to get the dealership to review and have it serviced but was told they can only service it if they can replicate it. The problem is the problem is random and only under certain road conditions. While driving my truck (typically at moderate speeds - 20 - 30mph) it will suddenly reduce rpms to about 500 and the speed will drop to around 5 mph. Simultaneously with that occurring I will receive the following warning indicators "hill start assist not available" then another warning "hill descent control fault" then another warning "service advancetrac" then "see manual". this happens typically while accelerating and has occurred on city streets as well as while merging on a highway on ramp (bad situation). The resolution is to turn the car off an let it sit for a second then start it and drive slowly. This is widely documented across the internet with no identified cause and constitutes a severe safety hazard.

2015 F150 2.7L ecoboost 31,908 miles... upon merging into traffic truck suddenly surges, followed by audible bang then abruptly loses all power "no driving conditions out of the ordinary, not under hard acceleration." Warning lights on the dash light up and I have no control of vehicle. Luckily I was fortunate to not have much traffic around me at the time and promptly coasted into a deserted parking lot to call my dealership. I am afraid to drive my truck now for fear of causing an accident due to mechanical/electrical failure, I don't want to die and don't want to put anyone it that position either. Dealer replaced the throttle body and says its ok to drive yet the throttle body they used as a replacement is no different then the one that failed how can that be safe? I'd like them to trust a truck that ceased all essential operations (brakes, acceleration, power steering) with a wife and kids in the vehicle during morning rush hour in the fourth largest city in the United States with speeding drivers who don't pay attention to the road in front of them, then we will talk. This is a huge safety concern and a known problem with many other Ford vehicles!!! fix it before someone gets hurt or dies as a result! do the right thing and hold the manufactures responsible its why we have the NHTSA. How is there not a massive recall with the eco boost engines in regards to the faulty throttle body, anything less is unacceptable. Does someone have to die first?

At times my 2015 F150 loses all power and go to a low power/ "limp mode" setting. Cautions received are (1) service advance trac, (2) hill descent control fault, (3) hill start assist not avail, (4) traaction control fault light. When this occurs, the vehicle goes to a very low forward power setting (<5mph), runs extremely rough to the point where the vehicle shakes aggressively. This problem is intermittent in nature, and yesterday was the final straw. This suddent oss of power occurred on a busy road and I nearly got rear ended. I immediately limped off the road and was able to get the vehicle towed to the dealership in castle rock, co. Currently I'm standing by for the mechanics diagnosis. Of note, I do see several similar write-ups of this problem on the NHTSA site regarding the 2015 F150. Ironically, a similar occurrence (ref. Nhstsa id#11083485) happened right up the road from me in castle rock, co (4/5/18). I hope Ford is aware of this extremely dangerous, recurring problem within its F150 fleet.

Truck stalls due to throttle body actuator sticking. Vehicle becomes disabled/stalled and applies the brakes. Occurs without notice at any speed. Occurs on highway, city streets, and dirt roads. Requires throttle body replacement. Similar recalls did occur for the Ford throttle body for other models and years (e.g. 13N03 program). Dealer indicates it is not covered under powertrain warranty (although it should be) and costs $600 to replace.

All of this happened while I was making a left turn in traffic almost causing a collision. This is the second time it has happened. After first time dealer was contacted and service department reported no problems found. Appointment currently scheduled to look at it again.
