Coolant temperature to high warning. This warning came up after my truck sat without being driven for 12 plus hours. I put the key in it and started the truck tried to drive it. The truck will not go over 15 miles. The actual coolant gauge is on blue, the cool side, but this warning is still going off.

The vehicle shut down while driving. Had no throttle. Pulled off road vehicle was idling erratically still no throttle multiple warning lights. Shut vehicle off, restarted, all trouble lights were off except check engine light. Vehicle ran ok for a while. This happened 7 more times within 150 miles. This is very dangerous, if I had been in traffic I would not been able to get off the road. Got the vehicle to Ford. They cleared all the codes and said they could not find the problem. They wanted me to pick up my vehicle, I refused. I researched the issue and found many people with the same problem. The fix was the throttle body. I passed this info on to the Ford dealer. They replaced my throttle body, problem fixed. I was lucky, I had 150 miles left on my warranty, most others didn't.

  • 92,000 miles
The contact owns a 2016 Ford F-150. While driving 80 mph, the vehicle stalled and all the warning indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where diagnostic testing found failure codes for the turbo, indicating that the air fuel mixture was rich. The independent mechanic was unaware of how to remedy the failure, but found that the bolt on the exhaust had fractured due to rust from an unknown leak. The bolt was replaced, but the vehicle stalled again. The contact called carlsbad Ford (2802 w pierce St, carlsbad, nm 88220, (575) 885-3101) and the contact was awaiting a call back to schedule an appointment. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but was unable to assist. The failure mileage was approximately 92,000.

The contact owns a 2016 Ford F-150. The contact stated that oil was leaking onto the oil pan. The vehicle was taken to mocks Ford-Lincoln-Mazda (913 SE 6th street, grants pass, or 97526, 541-476-6656) where it was diagnosed that the oil pan needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the symptoms recurred. The manufacturer was notified and stated that they would document the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 12,000. Consumer stated apparently there is a design/manufacturing defect with the oil pan. It leaks constantly and I've seen videos where the oil dumps seizing the engine or putting it in "limp mode". they have tried 2 different repair procedures that don't work. Updated 10/17/18

The vehicle hesitates, idles roughly when cold and makes a knocking type noise at idle when hot. The coolant level has gone down substantially despite having it serviced recently. We have experienced large amounts of water dripping from the tail pipe along with the occasional puff of thick smoke. The vehicle misfires and it has been verified by a scan tool (my own and Ford). Ford's technicians have verified the concern but have told us that without a hard fault, they are not able to look into the problem further. This issue has been brought to their attention several times with no resolution. While it may be related or unrelated, the transmission also jerks when slowing down and has a tendency to lurch forward when going from 3-2-1 gears. This has also been verified by Ford and they have made two attempts using tsb 16-0015 to resolve without any improvement.

Almost exactly the same experience as incident numbers 11090030, 11063919, and 11048673. There may be others, but, I didn't go any further. I was driving on a bridge without any safety shoulders and the vehicle suddenly lost all power, "hill start assist not available" indicator came on, "service advance trac" indicator came on, and "see manual" indicator came on with the wrench symbol. After nearly being rear-ended by another car, I was able to coast to an off ramp and pull over. The truck was shaking violently. I shut it off and then restarted it and was able to get back over the bridge but then the same exact scenario happened again on the other side. On the way home, it happened a couple more times but I was able to get it home. I scheduled a service appointment at a Ford dealer to take the truck in on Monday. The vehicle has about 43,000 miles on it. As I mentioned earlier, I was almost rear-ended by another vehicle when this occurred, so, this is an extremely dangerous malfunction.

Truck was in park with the engine running. Nobody was in the truck which was on a slight incline. It was standing still in the back yard while I was trying to get the garage door closed. It took off going through a chainlink fence, across a neighbors yard, and came to rest on a bank on the other side of the neighbors yard. The fence and brush caused several heavy scratches to the truck.

Truck will idle rough and stall periodically giving a checj engine light and when driving on the highway, in the street or making turns any time that the RPM is close to 500 (idle). Makes waiting for turns dangerous as the truck my unexpectedly turn off while moving. 3 dealers have been unable to resolve the issue started at 29,000 miles and have been thrown around until 40,000 miles now. They refuse to acknowledge my complaints and this truck isnt very safe to drive.

I had my truck towed to auto fair Ford and had to have the fuel pump replaced with $100 extended warranty and the car is a year old. After fixing it they were having issues with it not starting and called Ford to trouble shoot the issue. Today 3/2/18 they called to say a mouse or rodent chewed through the wiring. I have lived I'm my home since 1999 and many cars in the drive way this has never happened before. My brother said the wiring is soy based. I called Liberty mutual insurance and comprehensive has a $500 deductible. They will look at the truck 3/5/18 at auto fair Ford in manchester nh. I now have to pay$600 to a vehicle I have owned less then 5 months to auto fair Ford. Seems odd this is happing on a new vehicle

For the last year my car have been leaking fumes and smelling of carbon monoxide. I have complained to mission valley Ford, big valley Ford and all star Ford. When I start the vehicle there is white smoke and a strong fume. They said it's the ecoboost. Secondly the turbo they say has gone out already at 87K miles and I believe the smell and the turbo is connected.
