My 2016 Ford F150 recently started whistling at the 2500rpm point from the front end of the my truck. I took it to the dealership expecting a vacuum hose issue and was told both exhaust manifolds had warped and broke off some of the mounting bolts. I was a bit shocked since the vehicle has 102,000 miles on it and it's not been abused in anyway. Unfortunately, the factory warranty runs out at 100,000 miles and on the hook for the cost of this $1600+ (so far) repair. After doing a little research on the internet it did not take me long to discover this is a very well known problem with the 3.5L ecoboost engine. There were a multitude of websites and youtube videos addressing this known problem with folks quite upset that an official recall has not been issued yet with a proper fix/replacement and reimburse the owners who have already paid for the fix. Seems like it's not a matter of if it's going to happen to your truck...but when. Very disappointing, especially when you hear how many known issues have already been reported. Exhaust fumes leaking from the engine and possibly into the cab...should take a high priority to resolve. Let's go Ford...make it right! thank you.

How can check as a owner. The manufacturer pages are not accessible to me as no login or password for owners to register for. Help:)

Son was driving 2016 Ford F-150 truck on a 2 lane road, right out of our subdivision. It started shaking and stalling, wouldn't accelerate, brakes went stiff, wrench light came on, engine light came on. Numerous sensors came on. Was very dangerous. Had to coast the truck back home. Had to have the truck towed to dealership. Throttle body went bad. Repair was $575. They claimed there were no recalls and not covered under warranty. There was a field service recall on this model truck and this part a year after the truck was purchased new with previous owner. We are the second owners. Knew nothing about this until now. Was told by Ford that field service recalls expire. Previous owner may have not had a problem to take it in and have it checked. One of the old recall numbers I researched was 16B32, there were several others. There are numerous lawsuits against Ford for this part going bad. Can stall out at any time and cause a deadly accident. This truck is too new to have these problems. Had a full 45,000 inspection at Ford a few months ago. Nothing was ever mentioned about this or cleaning this. Ford is selling vehicles with faulty parts that can cause unexpected accidents that can be deadly.

My 2016 F150 5.0 supercrewhas started to regularly stall when idling in park or when braking or coasting when coming to a intersection. I can immediately restart upon putting in park or neutral. Sometimes a check engine light comes on. Upon googling the problem it seems pretty common with no answers of certainty.

My tailgate opens by itself. Does not matter if I'm driving in park. Multiple times, it has opened while driving done the road or on the highway. It first started while just sitting in the garage or driveway. I would come out and find it down. Its not a key fob issue as I believe the tailgate should not go down regardless if your driving down the road. This has been an issue for the past few months. I took it to dealership and they could not duplicate the problem.

When backing up, sensor will indicate red (imminent impact) and make loud beeping tone when no object/obstacle is present. False beeping may lead to driver ignoring backup sensors altogether. If backing up for long distances tone can become distracting to driver.

2016 Ford F150 V8 engine. Driving down the freeway, my A/C compressor went out. It completely locked up causing the engine to stall and become disabled and could not be restarted. Shortly after, I lost power steering and brakes (as a result of the engine loss) which created a safety issue on a freeway at 10:30pm at night as I had to get the vehicle over lanes of traffic without power steering and ease of braking and bring the vehicle to a stop without power assisted brakes. Thankfully, we were able to get over, but I don't know that everyone would be so lucky. I don't think an A/C compressor breaking internally should disable the vehicle's engine unless something is fundamentally wrong with the construction of the compressor. I could see accidents occurring as a result of the engine becoming disabled.

Remote start was activated with my truck backed into my driveway up to my garage. After several minutes I came out to my truck and observed the rear windshield to be shattered and glass all over my child's car seat. After closer inspection, the area around where the defrost wire connects to glass had a obvious burn pattern and glass was spider webbed out from that location. Ford would not stand behind their failed parts and would not repair.

One cold early morning I was driving, had both rear and front defrost on. While driving I heard a loud pop followed by the smell of burning wires. After pulling over I noticed that my rear window was completely shattered. It's a rear sliding window with a power window. Black box for power that stick to the window was popped off and smelled like burnt.

I then started the truck back up as soon as I did that the back window blew out.. called safelite to replace it them on 1/21/20 they replaced it. Then when starting the truck at the safelite shop it blew out again. Called Ford dealerships and none of them heard of it doing it.

There is a recall for the locks freezing. I spoke with Ford customer service this morning. I have had just by drives door replaced (that is were the dealership starts). Customer service stated that is only fixes the front doors of my four door truck. The tailgate of the truck also locks and had frozen locked. All the doors on my truck and the tailgate have frozen locked before. When asked if there was a recall for the tailgate. I was told there is a fix but it will cost you $208. Plus they are working on getting me a price for my rear doors fixed. This is a know problem and recall has been issued to only fix part of the issues. I have videos of my trying to get into my truck tailgate while hitting the unlock button on my key fob.

I was completing a 3 hour drive of approximately 120 miles (I had less than 5 miles to go till I arrived at my destination) when my sensors started lighting up my message board and dash system. I was in the left turn lane to enter the on-ramp to US65 South when this happened so I pulled off to the shoulder to investigate. I had just put my truck in park when a car pulled up and said that my engine was on fire. When I got out to look, the fire was rolling out from under the drivers side wheel well. As well, there was either a fluid or melted plastic dripping down to the asphalt that was also on fire. The fire appeared to put itself out, for the most part, prior to the fire company arriving within the next 10 minutes. I had, what I believed to be at the time, recall work done by mike raisor Ford in lafayette, in, less than 1 year ago. In that recall work, I thought the block heater was disconnected so as to prevent an engine fire such as this. Now, I am having doubts as to whether this was completely disconnected. NHTSA campaign number is 18V894000 and Ford recall number is 18S45.

When the temperature drops below 30 degrees the drivers door will not stay latched/shut. Currently I cannot get into my truck via the drivers door. I remoted started the truck (outside temp 21 degrees) went to leave so I unlocked the door, got into the truck and attempted to shut the door and it would not latch. I pulled the door shut and hit the lock button and the door latched. I forgot something in my house so I got out of the truck and the door would not latch, I pushed it shut and hit the lock button and went in my house. Came out and the door would not open even after being unlocked. Rear passenger door is also the same way. This has happened multiple times

Driving down the road we smelled smoke and my back sliding window shattered and blew out. Took it to the dealership and they wouldn't give a complete estimate. Called Ford Corp and of course they are dragging their feet. The rear defrost wasn't even activated at the time that it shorted out. I have researched the problem and it has been a major issue with Ford for years.
