At 62,000 mileage, the ac compressor had to be replaced and belt that I was warned would seize. I am a first responder driving into our nearby mountain range. We dropped off the truck at the santa cruz, ca Ford dealership on Sep 28, 2020 and the job was completed on fri Oct 2, 2020. They said it was fixed. 10 minutes later there was no ac as we drove home. This was during the ca wildfire season and daily aqi checks for health hazards. I brought it back in on mon, Oct 5, 2020, they said their machine was broken and they had to send it out. We had to drive with our children in hazardous wildfire air quality all of October with the windows down. The defrost did not work either properly, blows into face instead, so the weather turned andresulted in me getting dispatches, driving in the dark through the mountains with no defrost windshield function. Hazard. Their machine was fixed Dec 18, 2020 so I brought it in again. It did not work, and the ac and defrost still broken as mechanics determined a connecting part they broke off in attaching the machine to my truck and now had to order that part from detroit. I brought it in Jan 7, 2021 and it was supposedly all fixed. 3 days later no ac or defrost. I work with a sheriff dept who has had this occur to their fleet of F150's this last year, and been given the runaround with supposed fix. They auctioned off their trucks because it was never properly resolved. This seems like a possible Ford part recall, and is a hazard for drivers.

This past week, we had a couple days of 30 deg weather in the Chicago area in the morning and I started experiencing issues with my drivers door. It would not re-latch when I closed the door. Every time I closed the door I heard the infamous "thud" and it bounced back open. This happened over and over. I had to drive 12 miles, while holding my door closed so I can get to work. Eventually it starts working fine as the weather warms up. I understand there is a already a recall and a settlement on this matter for the exact year of my F 150, however my F-150 VIN's is not apart of that. I've contacted Ford and all I got was there's nothing that they are able to do since my VIN is not apart of the recall. So in order to drive my vehicle safely, I need to pay out of pocket. This just proves there's still issues with the door latch system and it is a safety concern.

11/8/2020, 9:00 a.M. the rear glass imploded and shattered when the driver door was closed upon driver getting in. The engine was not started, when the rear glass shattered. The 2017 Ford F150 was sitting in our driveway. We live in the country with a fence around the house area. The vehicle was not disturbed, nor was it a cold morning, about 75 degrees.

This is while stationary, car on or off. When the doors are locked and the passengers want to get out of the car, they are unable to open the door. Only way for them to open the door is for the passengers in the front seat to press the unlock button on the door. I feel this is a safety issue as it acts like a permanent child lock. When taking the car to the Ford service department and calling 1(800) to make a claim, they said that is how the car is engineered. Everyone from Ford dealership and the 1800 number all agreed that it could be a safety issue. Example 1: if the car is locked while driving and there is a crash, and the driver gets knocked out and there is someone in the back seat, the only way for them to get out of the car is to roll the window down and climb out. They cannot get out by opening the door handle, they have no unlock button, they're only hope is for the window to roll down or break the window. Example 2: this one actually happened to us. My dad was driving with my nephew and brother in law in the back seat. They get pulled off the road by a crazy driver. The crazy driver gets out of the vehicle and confront my old father and starts to threaten him. My brother in law who was in the back seat with my nephew was trying to get out of the car to help my dad but he could not because my dad did not press the unlock button on the driver door thus forcing my brother in law to roll the window down and crawl out. When he did this, he got his foot caught and ended up falling right on his shoulder causing bruising and scrapes. If he was able to get out of the back seat of the car, none of this would have happened. Also it is an annoyance. Passengers in the back seat have to wait for the driver or front see passenger to unlock the doors for them to get out.

Tailgate open repeatedly while parked with truck shut off. Has done this since new. You can hear the latch activate and let the tailgate open. I have lost things when I did not realize the tailgate was open this is very dangerous. It opened five times today after slamming it shut and then it stayed shut until I got home while backing in the driveway it unlatched and opened again. The weather today was above freezing and dry it has been dry for several days.

When the temperature dips below freezing, door will not latch on drivers side. Extremely dangerous. Only remedy I have found is to either park in a garage (not possible for me) or to close the door and hit the lock button. The door will not fully close, but after truck gets to warming temp, it eventually will latch. Just a super dangerous situation especially when you need the truck to get to work or something and have no other mode of Transport. I believe there is a safety bulletin but my VIN comes back with no recalls.

Ford F150 recall #18N03 where the door latch can freeze not allowing the door to close or not allowing the door to open. West hurr Ford of rochester NY told me they would not perform the recall until the door latch actually froze. My concern is that I travel fro New York to pa a lot and if it freezes when I am in pa I would be stranded until a dealer could fit me in to fix.

F150 vista moonroof frame has fractured 3 times. Including the original moonroof that was factory installed, I've now had 3 moonroofs (2 replacements) for a broken frame that controls the opening of the moonroof. The issue was noticed because the moonroof rattled during normal driving, and made noises upon opening it. Concerned about robustness if moonroof will break again, leak, or stay closed in a collision if the track breaks again.
